Ow!" I open my eyes. A really hard pillow has been fricking thrown at me; I push it to the side.

"Can't you wake me up normally?! That fricking hurt," I complain to Sooyoung.
My phone is laying next to me and I reach for it.
"SHIT-" Of course the brightness is set on 100% 😂😂😂
"I always forget to turn that shitty brightness down... ah..."

"You just wouldn't wake up, it's 12 pm already, girl," Sooyoung explains while opening up the curtains. It's way too fricking bright for my taste.
She starts wiping dust off my wooden cupboard with a pink rag.
"You're like a mom, Sooyoungie."

My forgetful ass hasn't mentioned it before, but me and her have been living together in an apartment for half a year now.
I love it: we split the rent, we both clean and cook (more like Sooyoung cleans and cooks), we do fun stuff and we haven't really fought so far!

Me and her haven't talked much since last evening when Ryu Hayeon acted up.
Sooyoung was really pissed off, and I left her alone for the rest of the day.

I wait a bit before I ask her carefully:
"Are you feeling okay? You were so angry yesterday."

Sooyoung stops with what she's doing and gives me a mixed expression. "Yeah. I'm fine now. That bitch was testing my patience."
My friend throws her head back & does some weird stretching exercise before wiping some more dust.

Our bond is really strong, but she has this habit of keeping her emotions to herself. Most of the time Sooyoung just doesn't tell me about her feelings and keeps them bottled up, and then when something relatively small happens.. it's probably the final straw so she gets all frustrated and snaps.

"The others at the table were confused as heck," I sigh, "I mean, even I was oblivious to it at first. Only when she started talking about your ex.. that's when I realized."

Wow, the cupboard is looking way better now. I should stop being so lazy about cleaning..

Sooyoung hums. I don't think she wants to talk about it, and I totally get it! But I'm afraid I'll have to dig a bit deeper just to avoid conflict in the future.

"So, like, should we tell those guys what the issue was?"

A sigh. Sooyoung turns to me and starts playing around with the rag.
"Is that necessary? Do you even know them well enough? Do you trust them?"

I gulp. This is not the time to joke around.
"We won't tell them then."

She just smiles half-heartedly. Now it's my desk's turn to be clean again.

I get it. She's been dealing with this for a while now.

"I asked just in case. I didn't want any misunderstandings or something, but I'll respect your choice," I explain myself.
