When I was 7 y/o, my dad took me swimsuit-shopping. My jaw dropped when I found a pink swimsuit (mainly because the top looked like a sports bra and the bottoms looked like elastic shorts) so we bought it.
Now, one thing you guys should know is that I live in a country that is known for its good climate. Another thing you guys should know is that I got the swimsuit before school was over with.
Anyway, we got home and the first thing I did was wear the swimsuit. My dad saw how much I loved wearing it as regular clothesand said "Don't go wearing it in school." He later added that, since the bottoms looked like shorts, I could wear them. The next day, I went to school like normal, wearing the swimsuit bottoms and an oversized shirt. I remember that, just before PE started, I went to the toilet (you'll see why). When I returned to the school gym, everyone was gathered in a circle and my teacher had her back on me. ALL the kids in my class just stood and were SHOCKED by the sight of me walking with the confidence of a model that just got paid... IN NOTHING BUT A SWIMSUIT WHILE EVERYONE ELSE WAS WEARING JEANS & A T-SHIRT.
You see, the reason why I had gone to the toilet was because I waanted to take the oversized shirt off so I can FINALLY reveal my awesome swimsuit. Why did I choose PE as the perfect subjecct to do that in? My teacher, at that time, would wear tights & a sports bra, and I thought "If anyone isn't going to scold me, it's her. She's basically wearing similar stuff"
As I was walking to sit in the circle with the other kids, I saw how shocked and speechless EVERYONE was. In that moment, I thought to myself "Haha, y'all are so jealous that I look so gorgeous and stylish. Get on my level, commoners". Then my teacher turned to me, finally seeing what got everyone looking like the saw the devil himself. She looked at me, with a mixture of disgust & anger in her face, and told me in the most aggressive tone "Go get dressed!"
It's funny how I didn't get made fun of by the students, probably because it's not about what you were
