Before she was Queen

She was not as educated as much as Catherine or Anne but her needle work was so good that some of her work lasted as long as 1652

Jane became a maid-of-honour in 1532 to Catherine, but may have served her as early as 1527, and went on to serve Anne

Henry's interest

Henry's first interest in Jane (record) was 3 months before Anne's execution

Henry and Jane were betrothed just one day after Anne's execution (well they got straight to the point 👀)

Life as a Queen

Her very public sympathy for Catherine before and after her death and her daughter Mary showed her to be compassionate and made her a popular figure with the common people

Jane formed a strong bond with Mary (unlike Anne) she tried to restore her name as Princess (before and after becoming Queen) while she never succeed in that, she did restore Mary and Henry's relationship

Having a kid

In January of 1537 Jane became pregnant, during her pregnancy she lead a rather quiet life

She gave birth to Henry's heir who would later become King Edward VI on October 12 1537

Edwards birth took 2 days and 3 nights

On October 24th 1537, just 2 weeks after her sons birth she died

November 12 1537, her burial took place

Mary was chief Mourner

Henry wore black for the next 3 months after Jane's death

Jane was the only wife to receive a Queens burial

People believe she was Henry's favorite wife, seeing she gave him an heir

He didn't remarry till after 2 years

After his death in 1547 he was buried next to Jane, per his request
