"From now on I'm your boss. Keep that in mind," The man who acknowledged himself as the boss gave me a cynical look whilst grinning. But his smile had somehow managed to weaken me, leaving me speechless.
This guy.. seeking affirmation much? I'm going to teach him what he needs to be taught.
Nonetheless, I know there's more to him, apart from his pretentious demeanor.
It felt like my instincts are encouraging me to find out more about him.
"Who do you think you are? Nobody has agreed for you to be the boss- but yourself." I crossed both of my hands, standing firmly in my place.
"I made my own decision. Regardless of whether you like it or not, I'm your boss. I'm everyone's boss. I'm the boss." He said in a condescending tone.
"Says you," I snorted incredulously.
"Just stick to what I say. Is it that hard for you to follow?" He inquired, fixing his eyes on me.
I shrugged. Should I just put this guy in his place? Who does he think he is?But let's not get ahead of ourselves.
This is where it all began.Professor Adams, my English Literature teacher, gave us a group project which will require six months to be finished. He divided us all into groups of five.
Don't ask me how this is possible, but I happened to be the only girl in my group, despite the fact that Professor Adams always include at least more than two people of a specific gender when it comes to the division of groups.
So how come was I the only girl? The other groups had at least three girls in it. Or two girls, at the very least.
But who am I to complain? All I need to focus on is completing the task we're being given.. so whether we like our members or not, we have to get to know each other since we're going to work with each other.
Basically we've got to get along.
Each group was given a different assignment. Every group was to be given a topic of its own, and it's all for Professor Adams to decide.
He wrote each topic on a piece of paper, folded them, and called each member representating the group to come in front and take the piece of crumpled paper, and see what topic they got. So it's random.
Since Chase demanded adamantly to be our group leader, the rest had to give in. He took one of the crumpled papers and apparently the topic we're getting is "Romance". That's more like a theme, actually. Ok, so now here's what we're gonna do. Once we've got our assigned topics ( or themes ), we've all got to work on it. ( I mean, obviously )
Oh, and by the way, as I had previously mentioned, each group consists of five members. My group members were Chase Huntington, Jaxon Crawford, Bronson Marchand and Rex Cavallari.
God, I'd be lying if I said they weren't hot. They're like, you know, those popular guys who would, no doubt, be able to make girls go crazy over them in just a second. Yeah, they have these charming auras which attract pretty much every girl in my university. Guess I've got to say I'm lucky to be in the same group with these hot guys though, because you don't know the amount of girls begging to be in the same group with them- or at least one of them- and even some of the girls tried to beat me up because they were jealous and said I didn't deserve to be in the same group with those fine lads. But hey, clearly you shouldn't be putting the blame on me.
Anyways, all the stories aside, I'm going to tell you guys how these guys have been treating me so far.
We were at Bronson's house, not far away from mine, discussing about our group project.
We will be creating a play, in which the theme is based on the topic we got ( which is Romance ), and we were working on how the story should be.
I don't know how Rex came up with this idea but I actually thought it's pretty cool.
He said that since I'm the only girl, it's going to be about four popular guys trying to win over a girl, as in me, myself and I.
Does it sound rather cliché tho? Although to be honest, I liked the idea.
After a moment of comtemplation, Chase finally broke the silence.
"Here's the fun part," He smirked playfully. "There will be a scene in which Belle will kiss one of the guys."
"WHAT?!!" was the only thing coming out of my mouth. May I add, that was the moment where I gasped, leaving my mouth hanging open, eyes bulging out.
Well, what can I say..? I could barely blame my instinctive response.
I'm going to.. kiss.. one of the guys?To Be Continued..
