Chapter 6

Luke's POV///

*2 Days Later*

I sighed and threw the book across the room.. "Ah good book?" Asked my mom as she walked in the room and grabbed the book off the floor. "That's the book Lucy wrote." I said. "Oh she got it published.. Good for her." My mom said looking at the cover. "Not good. She changed it.. She changed the characters but told me that she wrote the book about me and in it it's all about the girls best friend leaving for a chance to be a rock star." I said and my mom nodded. "Oh I see." She said. "And now she's mad cuz I kissed Natalie after kissing her and I didn't mean to kiss Natalie but Natalie kissed me and I broke up with her but now I can't find Lucy anywhere and don't know her real number or anything." I said ranting. "I know where she is." Said my mom. "What?" I asked and got off the couch. "She's over at the mall working at the jcpenny.. Poor girl lost her other job for some reason." Said my mom. "I gotta go..." I said and grabbed my coat and car keys and ran out.

I drove to the mall which was 10 minutes away and pulled up at the jcpenny entrance and parked and got out of my car and started walking up to the store when I heard what sounded like lucy.. I spun around and saw her car parked in a different lane and saw her standing with her back against the passenger side and Jackson and two other guys by her. "Let go of me!" She gasped as he grabbed her arm and he slapped her across the face. "Shut the fuck up. You're gonna pay for what you did to my shoulder." He shouted and Lucy had tears running down her cheeks as she tried to pull away. "Hey! Leave her alone!" I shouted walking closer and Jackson looked up to see me. "Oh luke. You're back. Did you know he was back Lucy? Did you go running back to him again? He's just gonna leave for another tour again you know that right?" He said asking her. "Luke stay out of this." Lucy said. "What's the point in this Jackson? We both know Lucy did nothing to you." I said stepping closer. He chuckled. "Did nothing? She broke my heart!" He screamed at me and grabbed her throat making her scream. "I loved you ever since 6th grade!!!! But you loved him!!!" Screamed Jackson and he slapped Lucy making her scream out in pain. "Hey!" I shouted and Jackson looked up at me. "You're mad right? You're mad that all you did was care while she didn't notice you right? You're pissed off. But not at her. At me. So let her go and let's settle this one on one." I said. "Luke no.." Lucy gasped and he kneed her in the hip and she screamed. "Fine. You wanna settle this luke? Let's settle this." He said and shoved Lucy two his two friends. "Hold her." He said and they grabbed her arms. He walked over to me and was two feet away.. "You really wanna play this way?" He asked. "Why not. My night needed some excitement anyways." I said glaring at him. He threw a punch which I moved away from and I threw a punch which he wasn't prepared for causing me to hit him in the face and knock him on his ass. He stood up. "Boys held me out." He said and his two friends let go of Lucy and stood around me.. 3 on 1....

Before I could process what to do I was being punched and kicked until I was on the ground being beaten.. Lucy's screams for them to stop split through the air while she attempted to jump on ones back but he threw her off him easily.. It was getting horrible and just when I thought it couldn't get worse a cop siren went off from a ways away and the guys all stopped and turned towards Lucy to see her holding her phone.. "You called the cops!!" Screamed Jackson. "Hell yes I did and now you're busted." She said. He ran over and grabbed her making her scream while his two friends ran off and he grabbed her arm twisting it weird and she screamed.. I tried to get up but couldn't.. The sirens got closer and he shoved her on the ground and kicked her in the ribs. "I'll get you Lucy." He spat and ran off....

Lucy got up gasping in pain from her arm and i watched as she took off her jacket gently and felt her arm.. "Broken.." She muttered and made a sling with her jacket and got her arm in it and then she crawled over to me... "Oh my gosh.." She whispered looking me over. "You're a idiot.." She whispered with tears in her eyes. "Thanks." I gasped. "Help is on the way it's gonna be okay.." She whispered as she gently let her good hand touch my cheek.. "It'll be okay.." She whispered. "I broke up with Natalie.." I gasped in pain.. "Don't speak.. You probably have a collapsed lung.." She whispered and a tear ran down her cheek. I reached up and wiped it away.. "I love you Lucy.." I whispered. "I love you too luke." She said and leaned down and kissed me. The paramedics pulled up and I was put on a stretcher and loaded into a ambulance and Lucy was taken inside too.. She stood next to me holding my hand while the worked on me.. "We've got a collapsed lung.. Internal bleeding.. And lots of bruising." One of the nurses shouted. "Shoot him with morphine." Said another and I felt myself getting sleepy. "It'll be okay luke.. It'll be okay.." Lucy whispered as I fell asleep....

Lucy's POV//

I paced around the waiting room and sighed. My arm was in a cast and I had been told I had broken my wrist but the extent of my injuries weren't as bad as Luke's. I had already called his mom who was on the way but I couldn't stand this waiting to see luke. Finally when I was about to rip my hair out from anticipation the nurse walked in. "You can come see luke now. He's asking for you." She said and I nodded and she lead me to the room he was in. He was laying in bed with all kinds of machines attached to him and it killed me to see him like this.

"Hey how ya doing?" I asked and sat next to him. "I'm fine.." He shrugged. "You didn't have to start that. You coulda just left." I said. "Why would I leave when you needed me?" He asked and I shrugged. "You know this would be the time in the movies where we kiss." He said. "Oh really?" I laughed and he gave me that dorky smile that I loved. "Yep." He said and i giggled and leaned over and kissed him. His lips moved gently against mine..

"Does this mean were a couple now?" I asked. "Yeah it does." He said. "Good.. I love you." I whispered. "I love you too." He said...
