I shut the file. Hydra will pay. I grab the serum, clutching the glass tightly in my hand. Hydra will pay. "Oh Olive. I know you're in there. Come out and we can talk about this. I don't want to hurt" Ophelia. "Don't make me laugh" I yell back, "oh come on dearie, let's work this out, like adults" she's surrounded by three guards, if I move quick enough I can burst through the door and catch them unawares, I might give me enough time to get out. "I have the serum Ophelia. If you don't leave I'll break it here and now!" "You wouldn't dare!" "Try me" the guards start pushing against the door. "Bye bye serum" I call out, I knock the vase of onto the floor. It shatters upon impact. "NO" Ophelia shrieks. I move to the back of the room, pressing myself against the wall.

The door bursts open and the guards pile in. I charge. I shove past them, knocking them over. I duck away from Ophelia and run towards the elevator. They're firing at me. There's a guard blocking the elevator doors. I slide away from his reach in time. I keep running. I can hear bullets whizz past me.

Shit. A guard cuts me off. I take a left and run across a metal bridge that connects the two sides. Shit. I'm cut off again. I try to run back but I'm trapped. "Oh Olive, is it all worth it? Is this how you want this to go? Do you really want this to end with a bullet in your head? You've lost" Ophelia is a haunting calm as she makes her way past the guards. I look over the side, holy shit that's a long way down. There's a 20ft drop along with a boiling hot barrel. I could scream but before I even get the chance to kill them there'll be a bullet in my brain. I'm trapped. I really have lost.

I hold the serum over the side, "no body move or I let go!" I warn, desperate times call for desperate measures. "Don't you dare!" Ophelia spits out, "try me" guards begin advancing on me slowly. I press myself against the railings, "ah, ah ah. I wouldn't if I were you" the stop. "Olive, please, you don't have to do this. Hand the serum over, I can explain everything. Anything you want to know I'll tell you. Just hand it over" I thought I was desperate. I hold the file in front of me, "I already have all the answers" I drop it over the side. "No!" She screeches, Ophelia pushes forward, leaning over the railings, the two of us watched as the file dropped down into the barrel, a few papers fell out but they all met the same demise.

Upon splashing into the boiling liquid the file is immediately incinerated. Nice. "You bitch!" Ophelia screams at me, "takes one to know one" she looked at me with wild eyes "how is it one insignificant little creature can single-handily ruin my life's work?" I rolled my eyes "oh cry a river, build a bridge and get over it" I looked her up and down, "and get a new hobby" Ophelia growled at me, apparently she doesn't like my attitude. How dare she...

She lunges at me. I lean back to get away, clutching the railing. My hand slips. I feel myself turn over. There's nothing to hold onto anymore. I've dropped the serum. I'm falling. Arms and legs flail as I descend. Time itself seems to slow.Oh god. I'm going to die. I don't want to die. I don't want to die. Please don't let me die. Dad? dad please don't let me die.

*Flashback*

Thunder roars and lightning crackles outside the window. The mound under the covers squeals. A small figure dives out and runs out the room in her pink bunny pj's. She runs into a neighbouring room. It's dark, apart from the quick flashes of light from outside. She runs over the double bed and launches herself under the covers. "Olive what are you doing?" asks a male voice, the little girl bursts into tears. The man wraps his arms around her and pulls her close. "Make it go away daddy" she tells him, "make what go away?" "the storm" he chuckles, "It's not funny" she cries. Her dad smooths down her wild hair, "I can't make it go away sweetheart. We can't make the storm go away. You just have to brave and wait till passes" he strokes her hair, soothing her and she buries herself her dad's chest.

Dad? Make it go away please. I don't want to die. Please don't let me die. It burns. Why does everything burn? I don't want to die.

3rd Person

The band of kids push through the woods. Getting out was somewhat easy. No one wanted to hurt them. They were too important. Guards were more interested in the fires that raged inside. Maisie Ranger powered through, leading her band of misfits, gun in hand. The reached the rushing river. They stopped in the clearing. No one was there. Maisie huddled the kids together to keep warm, they only wore plain white scrubs. Bare feet and bare arms were not suited for snowy weather. They were tired and hungry, they wanted nothing more that to just lie down and sleep.

There was sudden crashing through the thicket, left to them. Maisie and another boy held up their guns in the direction of the noise. Two people emerged, one male with dark hair, carrying bow and arrows. The other was woman with red hair, cuts and bruises riddled her exposed skin. They both held their hands up, "don't worry, we're not hydra. We're shield. We're not going to hurt you, lower your weapons. assured the man, "my name is Clint Barton, this Natasha Romanoff" he gestured to the red head. A small girl slipped out from the crowd, "Olive sent us" she told them in a hoarse voice, "we're friends of Olive" Romanoff told them, "where is she?" "she went back to destroy the serum" Maisie told them, lowering her gun slightly. Romanoff and Barton shared a pained look before turning back to the kids, "our ride is on it's way, don't worry, we'll get you guys safe soon"

The sound of helicopter blades filled the air. Natasha and Clint pulled the kids towards the woods for safety as the chopper landed. A person in a bullet proof vest and helmet, armed with a gun jumped out, "Agent Romanoff, Agent Barton, the director sent me. Where's Agent Westwood?" they shouted, "she's on her way!" Romanoff answered. The three agents and Maisie began helping the kids into the chopper one by one.

There was a loud explosion. Everyone instinctively ducked, covering the kids. They turned to the direction of the explosion, the building was in flames, part of the roof was missing. "NO!" screamed Maisie, she charged back in the direction the building, Natasha hot on her heals. She caught up to the young teen, gripping her by the waist and pulling her back. "Olive" Maisie choked out, "I know kiddo, I know" Natasha whispered, her voice shaky as she held back her own tears. All hope of Olive surviving the explosion had disappeared as they knelt in the snow. Natasha blamed herself, she brought Olive here. She disobeyed Fury and Olive payed the price. She was gone, there was no doubt about that.

Olive Westwood is dead and she is never coming back.
