I woke up to my annoying ass alarm, haven't missed that sound at all. I considered snoozing but it's the first day of school and I wanted to look presentable.

I stretch and yawn violently before getting up. I started seeing dots from standing up too quickly but blink them away as I make my way to the bathroom.

I tried to wake myself by washing my face, there was no use I still looked and felt dead.
I brushed my teeth quickly and wiped away the remaining toothpaste around my mouth.

"Good morning" my mom shouted from the living room
I sighed loudly in response and went back to my room.

I put on the clothes I had picked out the day before, a red cropped top and high waisted jeans. I brushed through my hair roughly and put on concealer to hide my eye bags.

School started in 40 minutes and I was pretty much ready to go. There's a 30 minute walk to my school and I usually never have time, but since I woke up early I figured it was no use taking the hot and stuffy bus.

"No breakfast I assume" my mom chuckled.
"Nope!" I responded.
I put on my black vans and went out the front door.

As I was close to the school I saw someone I didn't recognize on a bench in the school yard. It was a guy with light bouncy hair, pale skin, bright eyes and soft blushed cheeks.

Our eyes made contact and he gave me a soft smile, my heart filled up and I felt butterflies.
