Chapter 2: 10 years into the past

I wasn't surprised Robyn was scared. The rouges were nightmares to a 6 year a old (she was a year younger than me). They were merciless monsters who killed women men and children from your pack, and then they would cut off your head and stick it on a pike outside your pack house.

"I don't w-want my h-head on a stick Cay"

"Don't worry robby my daddy's the Alpha memba he'll protect us" I said proudly

"are you sure Casey?"

"I'm pos- "

All of a sudden a loud ringing noise sounded through out the pack house. This ment trouble because this type of bell was never rung unless we were being attacked.

"Ahhh my ears" I screamed, because a wolf cubs ears are especially sensitive.

I grabbed Robyns hand and headed for the door, only to bump into my brother.

" WHERE THE HELL HAVE YOU TWO BEEN! QUICK WERE BEING ATTACKED BY THE ROUGES!"

I heard a small gasp behind me.

"WHAT THAT'S IMPOZZIBLE WERE MOMMY AND DADDY AND ALL THE REST? I shouted

"THERE OUT IN THE WOODS FIGHTING"

There was alot of shouting and screaming coming from all over the house and a LOT of growls.

All of a sudden a women with long blonde hair which was always out and flowing, but was now in a messy bun appeard and swooped me and my brother into her arms - she was our mother.

"Oh my dear sons quick we need to get you and Robyn down into the cellar with the rest of the children."

"Weres my mummy and daddy" Asked Robyn, whilst my mom was leading the way toward the cellar.

On out way there the stench of blood was unbearable.

My mom turned around when we reached the door of the cellar and she looked Robyn straight in the eye, i knew this was going to be bad news.

"Oh sweetheart your mother disappeared whilst in battle I'm so sorry honey" my mom whispered

Robyn started crying really loudly, and I guess my brother must have been scared that the remaining rouges surrounding the area would hear us.

"Oh would you sush" he growled

"Don't growl at her you stupid head she just lost her mommy and daddy how would you feel?"

He didn't answer, but his eyes turned black. Damn I wish I could've done that.

My mom lead us down the steps into the cellar were a couple of women and children were all huddled. Most of the children were crying and I recognised one of the little girl to be Kristen, Robyns cousin.

"Oh luna you are alright" cried Kristen's mum, Stella.

"Yes Stella I am alright, but now you must take on the responsibility of Robyn as her mother and father have not returned"

"Yes luna, come here Robyn sweetie"

All of a sudden we heard a loud Bang and alot of shouting.

Everyone immediately hushed and backed away into the corner if the cellar.

Then the cellar door opened and my father's beta ran in panting.

"Luna, i am so sorry luna"

"Were is the Alpha?"

"A great many of our pack was injured, and the pack house is damaged and-"

"A battle is a battle and a great deal will be lost hurt shall be Felt, now where is my husband" she said in her luna voice

"He is dead, luna your first boy will have to be the Alpha now" said the beta.

My mom let out a silent cry and sank to her knees. Everyone was all looking at keon, the new leader if the pack, the Alpha at 11.

Everyone was mourning the loss of the Alpha and his comrads, and I went over what my mother said in my head.

' A battle is a battle and a great deal will be lost and hurt shall be felt'

How much hurt did we all have to feel until this stopped?
