Episode 21: We're Also Family

After that reunion dinner, Chaeyoung helps Jihyo with cleaning dishes while Chanyeol is cleaning at the table and mopping the floor. Mrs. Park, Chanyeol's mum, was told to rest on the sofa watching TV and having a conversation with Minseok and Jongdae. It's the first time after years that they meet again and having meals together like this; just this time has Chaeyoung. Jihyo cannot help but keeps gossiping about Chanyeol. She talks randomly about her family, especially, Chanyeol's silliness. Chaeyoung cannot say anything but laughs hard of his unexpected dumbness...

"You know! He really loves animals. In our house, there were parrot, dog, cat, ferret... a lot more! There was one time when he was young, he walked home and he saw a mouse trapped and injured. He carried the mice all the way home and asked Eomma if he could adopt it. You know what? Eomma hit him! Haha! I cannot stop laughing thinking about that moment!" Chaeyoung pictures the dumbly young Chanyeol already. She laughs so badly at it...

"Chaeyoungie!" Jihyo calls Chaeyoung softly. They stop doing the dish and look at each other. Chaeyoung widens her eyes like asking what it is... "Not because I'm his sister to say this but I can tell that my dumb brother loves you a lot and he never did." Chaeyoung stuns at Jihyo's words "He was always bullied due to his softness and kindness. He is so nice to the point of being stupid. I know that he has his life to figure out but I don't want him to be treated unfairly because he is too gentle and fragile."

Chaeyoung remains silent listening to Chanyeol's elder sister talking about how gentle he can be. She can tell that Chanyeol is soft and kind as well as look stupid and nerd sometimes, but she doesn't know it becomes his weakness and easily to break him down like that.

"Chaeyoung-ah! I don't know if you share the same feeling with him and I don't force you to fulfill my wish. I just hope that he doesn't get hurt. Can you please do it?" by do it Jihyo means is not to hurt him although Chaeyoung doesn't love him back. Chaeyoung nods as an answer... She doesn't want to hurt Chanyeol either even though she isn't sure how she feels yet. Jihyo hugs Chaeyoung softly "Gomabweo, Chaeyoung!" Chaeyoung hugs her back and closes her eyes. She can feel sister's love that she's long lost it. Now she met Sooyoung, her real sister, again but she still feels hurt so she isn't ready for skinship nor improving their sisterhood again.

After everything is done, the three guests farewell to Mrs. Park and Jihyo while Chanyeol offers himself to walk Chaeyoung home. His family also agree because they want Chaeyoung, soon-to-be a part of their family, to be safe as well.

Arriving at Chaeyoung's house, she enters her house and bids farewell to Chanyeol. He watches her enter her house from the gate although she told him to go home already. He watches her back and still doesn't want to leave yet. But... suddenly... a voice... a familiar voice...

"GRANNY!!!!!!!!" it's Park Chaeyoung's voice... exclamation... Chanyeol cannot help but worry her... What happened to her granny making her scream like that? He opens the short gate and enters the house without the owner's permission. He knocks the front door of the house.

"Chaeng! Open the door!!!" *knock harder and harder* "Chaeng, everything's alright?" he tries to open the door and it doesn't lock. He enters the house "Chaeng, are you okay?" he says with a worried voice. He sees granny lying on the floor with Chaeyoung sitting and hugging her beside, trying to wake her up

"Granny!! Don't scare me!" her scared face cannot be hidden. Chanyeol kneels down beside her with his surprised face

"What happened to her?" he asks with his deep voice. She shakes her head while her lip is shaking "I'll call the ambulance now" Chanyeol takes his phone from his pocket and call the 911.

"Chaebal granny!!"
