"Penny? Didn't thought I'd see you here." Well, damn. Me too. I wouldn't have even expected him out early in this night. When we were together, 11 pm would be the norm. This is new.
I just smiled at him. Not really knowing if it came out as genuine as I wanted it to be.
"Oh, I'm sorry. It was rude of me not to introduce. Genevieve, this is Penny. A friend." Ouch. I hated how those words stung my heart. 'Cause it really shouldn't hurt anymore. Right, Penny?
"And Penny, this is my girlfriend, Genevieve."
Genevieve. I know her. She was a die hard fan of his. Always present at the gigs. Always seated at the front row. Never have I imagined na papatol siya sa isang fan.

"Oh, Mike! Nice to see you man!" Suddenly, Juan appeared out of nowhere and once again, placed himself behind my back, placing his hands on both my shoulders.
"Juan!" Mike greeted him with a slight surprise in his eyes. "So, you two together now, huh?" He said. I was about to disagree when Juan jumped right into the conversation again, quick as lightning.
"Just dating. Actually, this is the first time I asked her out. Right, Penny?" His body leaned closer to my back, caging me in his arms as his hands landed at the edge of the table. He turned his head to gaze at me, trying to hint of what my answer should be.
"Yeah, he asked me out." Juan looked back at Mike when I answered, smiling, as if taunting him to back off.
"Well, good for you, Penny! Or rather, good for us, right?"
