"I seen the paper yesterday, but never got to talk to you. You went to Washington, came back, talked to Elle, then came home and slept. Girl, i don't care what you do, but at least tell me what you're doing before you do it." Cally told Alex "Now, why aren't you going to school today? You have like a nine or ten year streak. Why end it today?"
Alex knew she couldn't say she was sick because that's never stopped her before. "I had to stop myself from telling Elle the whole story. She clearly has a problem with Raillery, but she wont admit it to her. I started telling her about all the trouble we used to get it and how they were all my ideas.
She needs to realize it was also my fault things ended up like this. Even you don't know what happened, nobody but me and Raillery know. We don't want that to get out. I told Elle how Raillery started acting like me and i started acing like her after the whole fight. I almost told her why, but she probably knows by now. Its obvious after what i said, which i won't say again. I told Raillery that i said too much, so she has a heads up if Elle is as smart as i think. Cassidy thinks something came up with dad. I'm skipping school today for the first time in ten years."
Alex explained it all to Cally with a low tone, she was upset, but Cally was going to let her daughter have her peace and leave. As soon as the door shut, Alex rolled over tugging the blankets fully over her. "I'm fucked, man" she muttered.

"I hope her dad is okay" Cassidy said "Yeah, me too" Raillery agreed. After years of lying to people and taking on the roll of Alex, she was good at hiding the truth and faking things. As was Alex, but she was a bit better at keeping emotions hidden than lying. Raillery was the opposite. However, Cassidy could see right through Raillery's lies and Alex's feelings. Raillery thought she was falling for it like everyone else who found out. Seeing as everyone asked because it was strange for Alex to miss school.
"What's wrong, Raillery?" Cassidy asked. Startled, Raillery jumped "Nothing, i'm just thinking, you know? I think i'm gonna go visit Alex. You stay here please, this is personal." Cassidy nodded.
Raillery got outside just before somebody noticed. She had on sun glasses and a hoodie so people wouldn't recognize her. But just as she stepped onto the crosswalk, she could see the flash of a camera as someone took a picture of her. "Shit" she said and started running the opposite direction towards her house "I'll just take the long way" She muttered.
Once she walked into the gas station to buy some snacks and drinks for her and Alex, Raillery seen the newspaper Raillery Stan seen walking without Alex Brockton trying to hide from the public! She picked it up and started reading.
"The power girls of McKinley, New York, back at it again! After ten years, they become friends again. For the very first time, they weren't spotted together while they are friends. But why? Some rumors say the friendship only lasted a day, others say the secret at to why the friendship ended has gotten out. What actually happened is still unknown. If you would like to know more, check out our paper again at 4:00 pm when another issue will be sent out. Hopefully we will get our answers soon!"
She shook her head as she set the paper down. She walked away trying to ignore the cashier staring. Raillery picked up two chocolate milks and a couple random bags of chips before setting them up on the counter. "Stop staring. Yes, i am Raillery. Now just ring up my stuff and ill give you the money." "Sorry, uh that'll be $10.95.
She noticed his name tag said "Richard" and he had no wedding ring. He also looked about 50-60 years old, which gave her the feeling he was staring with wrong intentions. She also noticed that only older men were walking around the store. She quickly gave him the money and walked away.
"That was a little too close for comfort" She said to herself. She walked into Alex's house as if she lived there. "Hey, Cally" "Shes sleeping, want me to go wake her?" Raillery shook her head "I'll just go up, same room as always?" Cally replied with a hum.
She headed up the steps. "Alex-" Raillery stopped when she heard crying.
