Long ago the world was stricken by an awful disease. It killed off the whole world, except for two lucky inhabitants: Lorjin and Keerish.
Lorjin and Keerish were about as different as can be: Lorjin was hopelessly dim, not being able to do the simplest of things, and Keerish was inexplicably intelligent, so much so that she found a way to cure the disease and stop it from spreading to herself and Lorjin. And so Lorjin and Keerish decided to go on to produce a family. A family of incredibly dim people and wondrously intelligent people.
