Five Years Later…
For almost as long as they have inhabited Earth, humans have known that their planet is but one in the universe, but something they did not know is that their universe is but one in ten. In fact, it is the Kappa Universe in the Tenth-Verse and is the direct opposite of a planet called Ardrinius that can be found in the Alpha Universe.
Ardrinius and Earth are directly connected with an inter-dimensional gateway- known more commonly as a portal- that leads into Earth's core where a civilisation of magical creatures lives without the humans' knowledge.
The Core World is where all of the creatures of Earthen legends live: phoenixes, unicorns, griffins, dragons and the other "mythical" creatures that human children are told about. They live there to escape the scrutiny and even torture that would befall them if they allowed the humans to know of their existence.
But while there are all of the creatures that humans know of, there are also the creatures that have never allowed the barbaric race of humanoids to know of their existence. These are the feiries and the kimas and they live alongside the elves as the three races of Light.
Feiries are humanoid creatures. They are all a cat of some kind with the attributes of fur- in most cases-, tails and ears. They can also have claws if they wish to. They are tall, strong, colourful and beautiful. They have heightened senses that come from their animal genes. There are three main kinds of feirie.
The element-feirie is the most charismatic. They draw their power from the elements around them and if they develop their abilities to a higher extent, they can control the weather in their immediate area. They have fiery tempers but are usually friendly.
The star-feirie is the gentlest. They all have a star made of some kind of metal attached to the end of their tails; the star can be removed if they wish it to. They are most powerful during twilight, when the stars are just beginning to appear. When using their strongest magic, their star will glow. The star-feiries are usually quiet and gentle.
The warrior-feirie is the strongest. As their name states, they are an ancient race of warriors. They are the best race of swordsman that can be found anywhere in the Tenth-Verse and they usually have an aptitude for winning battles and outsmarting their opponents. The warrior-feiries are all temperamental and hard to get along with. They wear hard shells and don't open up to many people.
Most feiries are a mix of two or more of the races so they all have characteristics of several races. Such as a warrior-feirie who is gentle and kind because they also have star-feirie blood in them. It is rare to find a pure blooded feirie.
Those are the three main kinds of feiries. There is a fourth kind but not much is known about them. Some even state that they are not actually feiries but a race on their own.
They are called human-feiries. They have the appearance of a human but have cat ears on top of their head and a long, strong tail that they can use to wrap around things, like a monkey does. They have hidden claws that they can extend when in need of them and they also have an extra set of limbs: wings. A human-feirie can fly just as well as any bird.
The most special thing about human-feiries is that there are only twelve in the Tenth-Verse. They are powerful and have secret abilities that they don't wish share with anyone so they stay in hiding so that the forces that serve their queen cannot find them.
That's the feiries but then there are the kimas.
The kimas are a short and timid race of people. They also are felines but their colours are not as bright and flamboyant as the feiries. They generally come in shades of brown, black, grey and white. They have the same magical powers that the feiries and elves do but they choose not to use their magic unless the situation calls for it.
