Chapter 1: Hi I'm Azeri!

  I ran out of the cave. Enjoying the warmth of the sun on my fur. The scent of morning was all about me. I romped around the dew covered grass, slightly shivering from the moisture and cold morning breeze. A Butterfree floated in the air above me casting a shadow on the ground. I looked around admiring the landscape. Mountains rose to the east, a large lake to the west, and lush forests to the north. A blue figure catch my attention. It was small and coming from the direction of the lake. I've never met a pokemon from the lake before I thought excitedly. So I watched the blue pokemon as it came closer. Maybe we could be friends a smile formed on my face. I waited in anticipation,  now seeing white as well made up the pokemon's coloration. I heard a rustling behind me. Turing my head I saw an my friend Vixie, a Vulpix. "What are you doing Azeri?" she asked while looking at me strangely. "I'm waiting on that pokemon coming this way" I said pointing a paw at the approaching figure. She looked over and gasped. "I've never seen a pokemon like that" She crouched down next to me; we were both watching the mysterious pokemon closely. Finally it came into clear view, a blue frog with a collar of white bubbles and wide curious yellow eyes. "What now?" Vixie whispered to me. "We go say hi, duh" I replied. Slowly creeping out of our cover I approached the new pokemon. I stood up straight and continued walking in its direction. "Hi!" I called waving a paw in the air. It froze up and slowly turned around to look at me. Confusion was written on its face. Vixie came bounding out of the tall grass towards us. Frightened the frog's bubble collat blew up to protect its head. "Why are you scared?" I asked the frog. It stepped back farther away as a response. My ears fell back in disappointment and I lowered my head. "So you don't want to be friends?" Vixie questioned. It looked at her in confusion, tilting its head to the side. "What is a friend?" It said in a soft voice. I looked up at the frog in shock. "You don't know what friends are?" I gasped. It slowly shook its head, now not covered in protective bubbles. "A friend is somebody you hang out and play with" I told him, I could tell from his voice. "Like brothers?" he asked. I nodded vigorously "Yeah like brothers" A smile grew on his face. "Okay we can be friends" Vixie jumped in the air excitedly. "My name's Azeri. What's yours?" I asked him. "Aaron" he replied simply. "I'm Vixie" the fox pipped up. For the  rest of the day the three of us played games. Aaron and Vixie both started heading home I waved and watched them leave. Then I went back to my family's cave. "Where have you been?" my mother fumed when I walked in. "I was playing with Vixie and a new friend" I shrank a little under her gaze. Her eyes softened when she saw I was scared. "Please tell me before you go outside next time" she looked into my eyes. "I will mom" I assured her. "Thank you Azeri" she smiled and picked me up for a hug which I gladly returned. "Remember I love you Azeri"  she whispered. "I love to mom" Mom started making dinner afterwards. "Do you think daddy will come home tonight?" I asked. She froze, she always did when I asked about dad. "I... I don't know Azi" she said quietly. I saw tears in her eyes, like always. I lowered my head I wish talking about dad didn't make her so sad I sighed sadly. About half an hour later we were eating silently. "So who's this new friend?" she asked breaking the unbearable silence. "His name is Aaron,  he's a Froakie from the lake" I told her smiling brightly. We talked about our days until it was time for bed. "Can you tell me a story mama?" I almost begged. A soft smile spread on her face. "Of course Azi" I cheered. She told me a story of a brave Lucario who had to fight the evil Rayquaza. I slipped into a deep sleep hearing about how the Lucario was scaling Rayquaza's tower. I heard my mother whisper in my ear. "Sweet dreams Azi".
