It was a warm sunny day at 400 Sandringham crescent it was usually quiet and everyone got along well but it was boring and there was nothing much to do.
"Cally" a girl called out running towards another girl her age.
"Hey" Cally said with a smile on her face giving her friend a little wave.
"How could you be so calm, today is the day we finally join the community club in school ain't you happy?"
"I'm happy... I guess I mean I have never had to help the community before, what if I mess up?" Cally said starting to worry.
"Your the one who said the community was boring so this is a way to make things interesting... right?" He friend said with a happy smile. "Let's do this"
"Yeah... let's help this community"
AN HOUR LATER
"Ring" that was the bell and that meant it was time for lunch and then that meant it was time to see if she joined the club and she did. Although she was not as happy she was to afraid to do it what if she messes up what will she do? But before she could turn back her friend pushed her into the room.
"Amanda" Cally whispered annoyingly but still sat down.
The club leader was a teacher at the school and she was very nice at explaining everything to them Cally didn't feel scared anymore she felt like she could actually do this. Until the assignment. "Each of you on your own are to help a stranger and if you do tell me before Monday"
"What happens if we don't tell you after Monday" a child asked.
"Well I am afraid I will have to dismiss them from the club"
Everyone was so determined, for once kids were desperate to help someone but Cally wasn't she always remembered what her mother told her to not talk to strangers. She made up her mind she was not going to help anyone... at least until she overcomes her fear...s.AFTER SCHOOL
Cally walked home on her own as she did she say an old man on a wheelchair crossing the road but he was not suppose to cross it was a red light, she didn't know what to do again she was to scared but she couldn't help to see someone hurt.
"Stop!" She yelled running behind the man and pushed the man's wheelchair so he could cross the road faster and not get hit by a car but as for her she was lucky that the truck driver saw her and stopped before he could smash her. Then she ran to the man.
"Are you okay?" Cally asked.
But the man ignored and kept on going. But Cally followed him she was scared but she wanted him to be safe all the way to wherever he was going lucky he made it safely... to the Mcdanalds home? This did not make sense but she filled him anyway when they got in Cally had to nervously sit down because she did not want anyone to see or notice her.
"Hello miss may I help you?" A woman said.
"Um... i had... I mean I lost my... um ... grandma?" She said.
"Ow he's over there in that room he will be so happy to see you"
She nervously walked into the room and saw a bunch of mermaid drawings on the walls it was confusing and she tried not to laugh or do anything silly.
"Say... I mean sir" she said as the man turned around.
But all he way was tears... something was wrong.A FEW DAYS LATER
Cally had not been going to school for a while because she went to visit the man, she realized he was a blind artist, which explained why he ignored her and all the mermaids in the room from there on out she took care of the man even if it meant being home schooled or joining a different club.
