A/N: Soulmate AU where if your soulmate is singing a song with a duet, you immediately burst into song, singing the other part of the song. I got this idea from Tumblr but I can't find who wrote it lol.

         Being an FBI Agent that burst into song randomly almost 24/7 isn't exactly the best combination. But, that's exactly who Spencer was. His soulmate was very into duets, which meant that Spencer was almost always singing. Although it mostly happened at night, when he presumed his soulmate was in the shower, it did happen at work every so often. From Broadway musicals to Christmas songs, he never got a break.

          During briefings were one of the most inconvenient times. While standing in front of most of the Salt Lake City PD, he could feel the lyrics almost bursting out of his lips. He had to quickly excuse himself and run into the closest empty room before he started bursting out 'Shallow' by Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper. He just wished that his soulmate would sing a little faster.

            Another day, he was sat at his desk finishing up some paperwork, when he suddenly started rapping Eminem's part in 'Love The Way You Lie' very badly. He was usually good at the singing but rapping was not his forte. Everyone looked up at him as he ran out of the room, his hand covering his mouth in an attempt to muffle himself. The laughter behind him slowly subsided after he closed the door to the breakroom. When he finally opened the door, he calmly walked out, his head down. "Didn't know you could rap, Pretty Boy? What other tricks do you have up those sweater sleeves?" 

              Christmas was always a pain. No not the Christmas shopping, but the millions of times he would be belting out 'Baby, It's Cold Outside.' It happened every year. Once Thanksgiving was over, the song would be coming out of his mouth like a broken record. Thankfully, during this time, it usually happened at night. Before bed, the song would be the last thing he said. Everyone was always happy when it would happen at the office. Not much Christmas Spirit went around when they were writing about the gruesome murders that someone committed. However, whenever Spencer would randomly start singing, JJ would usually join in, then Morgan, then Penelope, and eventually everyone was singing the song, even Hotch. Once it ended, everyone would chuckle, silently thanking Spencer's soulmate for the song, and went back to work. 

               Surprisingly, this time, it was (Y/N)'s turn to be tortured. One day, as she was working the night shift at Bethesda General Hospital on the Pediatric Floor, she started singing 'Piano Man' by Billy Joel. She quickly made her way to an On-call Room, locking the door. Once she finished the song, she opened the door, causing Savannah to fall into the room. (Y/N) laughed "Really, Savannah?" 

              "Sorry, I just couldn't help myself. Your soulmate doesn't usually make you run into the On-Call Room to sing."

              Spencer was walking into his favorite bookstore on the corner, making his way to the non-fiction section. The only person he saw was the kind older lady at the cashier, who gave him a sweet smile as he walked in. About fifteen minutes after he arrived and three-quarters of a book later, the chime of the door opening alerted him of the arrival of someone in the store. Seeing as he was in the back, he couldn't see whoever had entered. After he had finished the book, he set it on the shelf and went to grab another when he heard the beginning of 'Like I'm Gonna Lose You' by Meghan Trainer and John Legend. He figured that it was a woman forced to sing by her soulmate when suddenly he began singing the male part of the song. The unknown women suddenly stopped singing, causing Spencer's mouth to close as well. 

                Spencer made his way around the shelf, where he had heard the singing before. He saw a woman with (H/C) hair and (E/C) eyes staring at him with wide eyes. "Can-Could you sing that again?" Spencer timidly asked.

               The woman nodded as she timidly began to sing. "So I'm gonna love you like I'm gonna lose you. I'm gonna hold you, like we're saying goodbye. Wherever we're standing, I won't take you for granted. 'Cause we'll never know when, when we'll run out of time. So I'm gonna love you like I'm gonna lose you. I'm gonna love you like I'm gonna lose you."

                  Spencer immediately picked up where she had left off. "In the blink of an eye, just a whisper of smoke. You could lose everything, the truth is you never know. So I'll kiss you longer babe, every chance that I get. I'll make the most of the minutes and love with no regret. Let's take our time to say what we want. Use what we've got before it's all gone. 'Cause no, we're not promised tomorrow."

                    Both Spencer and the mysterious woman began singing the chorus together. "So I'm gonna love you like I'm gonna lose you. I'm gonna hold you, like we're saying goodbye. Wherever we're standing, I won't take you for granted. 'Cause we'll never know when, when we'll run out of time. So I'm gonna love you like I'm gonna lose you. I'm gonna love you like I'm gonna lose you." During their duet, Spencer started to walk closer to the woman. "What's- um- What's your name?" 

                       "(Y/N), and you?" 

                       "Spencer. It's nice to finally meet you. You know there's only about a 42% chance that we would even find each other.

                         "No I didn't, but it's nice to know. I'm guessing that you're the one that made me sing Billy Joel in the middle of my Pediatric Rotation."

                         Spencer laughed, a sound that (Y/N) immediately fell in love with, and rubbed the back of his neck. "Yea, I guess that's me. Everyone at my office loves you during the holidays. Working at the FBI means that there isn't very much Christmas spirit going around. Why do all of your favorite songs HAVE to be duets?!"

                          They both laughed together. "Hey, want to go to dinner? There's a really nice Italian restaurant about a block or two from here," Spencer asked nervously.

                            (Y/N) smiled. "I'd love to."
