'When you leave you'll be a happy member of Voltron. When you leave you'll be a happy member of Voltron. When you leave you'll be a happy member of Voltron.'

With one final breath you plastered a big smile on your face checking your reflection, reassuring yourself that your previously bloodshot eyes had vanished. You left your room pulling the sleeves of your hoodie down over the crescent moon cuts lining your wrist. 'You're a happy member of Voltron now.'

You made your way down to Pidge's room. The door slid open when you knocked.

"Hey (y/n)! Ready to get your smash bros in? Hunk's bringing food from the kitchen. Lance should be here soon." The green paladin chatted away excitedly. Every Friday you, Hunk and Lance met with Pidge in her room to play Super Smash Bros. You enjoyed the time you spent with them, you honestly did. But, you knew with each day that passed, your heart that you've encased in steel, was weakening. The depression you'd been diagnosed with, right before you were shot into the other side of the universe, was growing. One of these days someone was going to catch on if you weren't careful. And if they didn't, they'd only know when it was too late.

"Hey I'm back l! With food! And Lance!" Hunk exclaimed.

"Alright! Let's get started!" Lance waved the other two controllers around like pom-poms, before tossing you one.

~~Timeskip brought to you by Sirius the Jeager. It's a good show! Go check it out.~~

The four of you ended up watching a Christmas special of Neyo Yokio. It was coming to an end. You watched the screen turn pink. You shook your head at the main characters next line.

"Man that was a weird way to end a movie." Lance commented. "Oh. Pidge and Hunk are asleep. Looks like it's just me and you. So, what was your favorite part (y/n/n)?"

"Honestly I really liked Archangelo's song and when Kaaz was rapping." You said turning off the television.

"Yeah that song was pretty nice. I wonder if they have a full version on YouTube..." Lance drifted off as he began typing into his phone.

The song rang out, bouncing against the metal walls. Lance stood up, holding his hand out to you. "May I have this dance?" He asked only slightly joking.

Unbeknownst to you, with all the time you've spent with the Cuban during the time in the garrison and out in space, Lance has developed a crush on you. So asking you to dance was a hike milestone in his eyes.

You tentatively took his hand, letting him guide you along to the song. With one of his hands holding yours, he slipped the other around your waist. You flinched slightly, not used to the suggestive touch, but you didn't pull away. You gently. Laid your free hand on Lance's shoulder. You swayed gently to the music until Kaaz started rapping. "I really hope that you remember this, I'm only rapping for 'cause it's Christmas."

With that, Lance spun you around making you smile in delighted surprise. Lance's smile grew larger when he saw how much fun you are having. Towards the end of the song, Lance slowed down again, placing both of his hands on your lower back, pulling you into a hug. You lazily draped your arms over his shoulders hugging him back. Your head dropped into the crack of his neck. The last note echoed in the crock of his neck. The last note echoed in the now silent room. Lance pulled you over to the bed, pulling the covers over both of you. You were to tired to care and the song had made you happy.

"Hey (y/n)?" Lance's breath could be felt around your eat, sending shivers up your back.

         "Yeah?"

"I just wanted to let you know..." he trailed off almost as if he changed his mind.

"Tell me what?" your curiosity got the better of you, prodding him to continue his thought.

"...This was fun. We should watch another movie together sometime... Just the two of us?" The end came out more of a question.

"Sure Lance That sounds... nice." you sighed.

        "Goodnight (y/n).'

        "Goodnight Lance."

With that one simple dance, Lance began chipping away at the steel that hid your heart, so that one day he could steal your armored heart.
