When you get home from school and your parents say: "So how was school?" You would usually say "Good" right? And when they say "What did you do today?" you say "Nothing" right? So I'm sure that you can image exactly what I said to my parents when I got home from school. It's not like I did much anyway. I mean, I managed to save Alter from being abducted by aliens and I finally captured the evil Dr. Hack, but it's not like I'd tell them that. I could have stopped the aliens from abducting cows because they wanted to make hot dogs and they took a human hostage because they wanted to know what toes looked like (which is exactly what happened) and I wouldn't have told my parents that. But at least I finally got to work on that group project that was assigned a while back.
Olympia: Moooooooooooooom! What's for dinner?
Mom: Oh I'm so sorry. I guess I forgot to tell you, I'm going out to go steal a necklace. It's made of topaz, your birthstone. I was gonna get you it as a congrats for passing 8th grade gift. Your dad's out robbing that new bank in town. I heard that it has new high tech security and he wants to take a look at it. I'll be back late. Bye!
Olympia: Ok bye!
I decided to continue working on my project. I had wasted an entire 2 hours watching Alter do nothing but make my job harder and watch him soak up all the glory when the press arrived. So I sharpened my pencils, cleared off my desk, opened my laptop, turned the air conditioning to just the right temperature (living in a volcano that gives off constant heat can be really annoying sometimes), took a nice bubble bath, stocked but on junk food, took my parent's jet for a spin (despite not being a certified pilot and not having a driver's license), went to the store to buy milk and a couple packs of gum, got all of my supplies ready on the desk, placed out the papers, sent one last text to the other girls in the group, blared my favorite mix, looked at the TV aaaaaand... holy smokadoodles my dad is being arrested.
