   Y/N'S POV

T'Challa and I hadn't had a conversation with one another in weeks. Mother surely didnt like that, so she forced T'Challa and I to sit across from one another.
I could tell by the look T'Challa was giving Mother, he wasn't psyched about this idea at all. He probably had better stuff to be doing.

Mother looked between us and said,"This between the two of us is going to end in this room right now! I am not going to sit here and allow for my children to treat each other this way. You two have been inseparable your whole lives and you let one fight between the two of you end that. Why?"

Before either of us could answer, Mother said,"I didn't tell neither of you to speak. Since you two want to act this way, I want the two of you to tell me why you think you two got to this point. Y/N, you go first. T'Challa, listen. Y/N, you may speak."

I looked over at T'Challa and then at Mother saying,"I think it was bound to happen eventually, Mother. T'Challa can't stand to be told anything. I was just trying to protect him. He never believes me when I am honest with him, and I am always too "childish" for him to handle. It's why he..he will always hate me."

I looked down and Mother rested her hand on my shoulder saying,"Y/N, I'm sure that's not true."

Mother then gazed at T'Challa and said,"You may speak now, T'Challa."

T'Challa looked at me saying,"I was just trying to protect, Y/N. She's my baby sister. Of course I believe you, Y/N. I always do, but you can never take any opinion but your own. When you get mad, you take things too far. And I don't hate you. I just don't understand why you always have to put everything I say down. It can never be right, even if I am putting you before myself. I think that's how we got here. I just grew tired of you not being considerate."

I looked to the side and went to get up, but Mother pushed me back down in my seat.

She said,"No, neither of you are setting foot out of this room until this is resolved. Your family. You shouldn't be acting this way with one another. If I may, Y/N, you are my child and I know you. You do get caught up in your own way of how the world works, but you have to let others in. You have to let your brother tell you things like it is when he needs to. And T'Challa, you do tend to look down on your sister. It is not intentional, but you have to let her do things on her own. She may look childish doing it, but she is still trying to grow. To learn. You have to be willing to let Y/N know you will still be there, even if you are not there guiding her every step of the way."

T'Challa had tears in his brown eyes and he said,"I..I'm sorry, Y/N. I'm sorry. I just get scared that something will happen, and I want to be able to stop many things from happening. I never meant to hold you back. I..I just wanted to look out for you. I'm sorry."

I walked over to T'Challa and hugged him tightly saying,"I'm sorry, too, brother. You're right. I'm sorry for overreacting when I'm mad and saying things to you. I'm sorry for not taking your opinion into consideration at all any day. I'm also sorry for being a terrible sister. I hope you can forgive me. I..I want to look out for you, too, T'Challa. I love you."

T'Challa held me and leaned on me saying,"I love you, too, sister. Thank you for admitting those things, instead of lying. I appreciated it."

"I appreciated you being honest as well. From now on, I will do my best to be open to new ideas and new things. I will also understand that you are just looking out for me, but I will make decisions on my own, okay?"

  "Okay, Y/N."
