20th of November, 2011.
MichaelIt was my 16th birthday, and mum decided to throw a party. And she invided everyone. And when I say everyone, I mean everyone.
Her work mates and their partners and kids. A lot of people from school, Calum and Luke and their parents.
But whats worse is that she decided it would be fun to invite that cute girl at the back of the class. She had pretty blonde hair, that was between waist length and shoulder length, with all the underneath dyed red. I had always had this slight crush on the blue eyed girl, and I don't even know why. I just liked her.
And there she was, sitting in my freaking living room, singing happy birthday, standing beside her brother, smiling widely. Blushing lightly when mum decided to yell out "Happy brithday Baby Boy!" I blew out the candles of the cake, before standing, almost tripping on the chair leg as I walked off, causing a rumble of laughter around the group. I just looked down and scurried off the the bathroom, claiming I had to pee.
Standing in the bathroom, I couldn't help but notice my shitty sence of style. It was no where near attractive. It was childish actually. I sighed slightly to myself and scurried to my room in search of a band shirt or something I could wear that looked cool.
Sure I've never talked to the girl, but I'd like to try and impress her. First impressions are always important... Even though she probably sees what I'm like in class and thinks I'm insane.
Walking back down stairs I looked around, noticing her standing alone, just staring at the floor while her brother rambled. I kept watching her, leaning on the wall myself, completely spacing out. I didn't really notice her brother pointing to me and whispering something in her ear and the girl herself making her way over to me. I froze to the spot, mentally freaking out.
"Michael?" I looked up at her, waving awkwardly.
"Y-yeah?"
"Why do you always stare at me?" I bit my lip, shrugging, she just giggled.
"You know, I probably shouldn't say thing, but the look in your eyes as you do, tells me that maybe you're in love with me."
My cheeks went bright red at this, looking down.
Was I in love with her....?
Yes.
Yes I was.
