"Hiro. Do you think it was ok to leave the twins with mom?" When he looked at me quizzically I quickly continued, "I mean like, mom says she loves them as her own, but I've seen her do some questionable things to them. Not questionable to the point of illegal! Just questionable." I hurried to explain.
"Hmm. I think it'll be fine. They have Detective Theo with them after all." Hiro replied.
"Well, I guess.."
~Angel~
"Sir, go faster please!" I told the taxi driver.
"I'm sorry miss. I'm already going over the speed limit. I can't go any faster than this." He replied, his face scrunching up.
"Angel calm down. We'll get there." Sora patted my shoulder, telling me to sit back down.
"C'mon princess. Breathe. Haruto's confined to a bed. He can't do anything to Ami-san." Luka rubbed slow circles into my back.
"I hope so." We turned to look at Leo.
He rushed the words out, panicked, "I mean Haruto is crazy. Who knows what he'll do, even if he's confined to a bed."
I groaned and threw my head in my hands.
"Leo!" Luka whisper shouted at him.
"I'm sorry! I'm just saying."
"No no. It's fine. I know. I just didn't want to admit it."
I suddenly realized something and whipped out my phone.
I started texting in the groupchat.
Me: did anyone bring any money? pls tell me someone did!
Sora, Luka and Leo looked at each other, uncertainty, clouding their eyes.
Sora: Uhh.....
Leo: We may or may not have...
Luka: ...forgotten
Me: omg! how r we gunna pay??
Leo: Make a dash for it?
Luka: I mean.....do we rlly have a choice? Were already here.
Sora: Welpp. This took an interesting turn.
Me: ok. this will b fine. just run as fast as u can and dont look back.
I look up from my phone and lock eyes with them. We all nodded, took a deep breath, opened the doors and bolted out of the taxi and into the building.
"HEY! GET BACK HERE YOU-" We didn't hear the rest because the sliding door closed, muffling his words.
Quick reminder kids. Always pay your taxi drivers. Don't be stupid like us.
We probably looked insane standing in front of the hospital door, looking like we just ran away from a murderer.
"Ok. That was.....interesting. Now someone go ask where Haruto's room is. I can't move." I huffed in between my heavy breaths.
