Midorya Izuku has been ice skating since he was 4. He was first introduced ice skating by his mother Inko Midoriya she wanted to show her son how fun Ice skating is, she wanted him to enjoy ice skating as much as she does now, ever since she taught Izuku how to ice skate around he wanted to do some neat and graceful tricks just like the other big kids or adults do when they go to the ice skating ring.
