The Monster And The Girl

I don't even know how long it's been since I was on the inside of the walls

Since I was cast out as a monster by the neko people of Anima, I had never even hurt anyone who didn't deserve it, I'd never done a damn thing to deserve this

it just makes me think that they threw me out because I am one of the Okami [wolf] people

they had kicked out all the other Okami people all they needed was a reason to kick me out too

I had made a home for my self outside of Anima City a little ways away, a cabin

People may wonder, how do I survive out here, how do i eat where do I get the food if i am locked outside of the city

Well I go hunting

It's those damn kids from Anima
When I said I lived in this cabin thats a little ways away that didn't mean the people of Anima didn't come looking for trouble especially the kids who would throw rocks at my home, for no reason other than apparently a monster lives here

I swung the door open and not surprisingly it was three kids throwing rocks at my home

as soon as they saw the door open one boy and a girl who both bolted, the last one a girl looked about 16-17 tried to run but tripped and fell

I walked up to the child who had fallen face first into the dirt

I picked the child up by the back of their shirt and she just looked at me in fear

It was definitely a kid from Anima the cat ears said so, as there isn't any other cat people settlements or cities nearby also to the point the people of Anima would be the only ones to know of a monster in the forest,
I turn...a lot and that leads to Rumours about the big bad wolf that lives in the forest

"What do you think you are doing coming to someones home and throwing rocks at it, let alone it being the house of a supposed 'monster', GO AWAY"

I yelled and put her back down on her feet and turned away to my home she fell down again

Thud

"Ouch ouch ouch" she whimpered in obvious pain

I sighed and turned to look at her holding her ankle

I knelt down next to her

"You gotta trust me on this kid okay" I said as she nodded

"Give me your hands I'm gonna see if you've done damage to the bone" i said calmly

She grabbed my hands and I pulled her to her feet

"It might be painful but if you can walk then it's not broken" I said holding her so she didn't apply too much weight

she tried walking while I held her up, she could walk but that didn't mean it wasn't painful for her I could see her face all scrunched up with pain

I sighed as I picked her up bridal style

"W-wait where are we going" she said her face going bright red

"Anima" I stated bluntly

I started to turn into the monster that took my life in Anima away from me
the girl looked at me in horror, looking like she was about to pass out from fear, As I turned and held the girl close I sprinted quickly through the forest running the distance that would have any other dying on the ground gasping for air

We arrived at the edge of the forest near the main gate to Anima,
I didn't want to get any closer than this I let the girl down to walk through the gate and as I turned away I felt an embrace from behind

"My name is Ana, thanks for helping me get back" she smiled at me as I turned around

MONSTER!!! AND IT'S TAKEN A CHILD"

A guard yelled, risking Ana's safety he shot a crossbow bolt directly into my back as I turned and held Ana into my chest to protect her

I threw Ana out of the way hoping I didn't hurt her and ran as fast as I could into the forest

Ana's POV

As (y/n) ran into the forest I couldn't help but start crying at how lonely he must feel...
