"Lea! Let's go I don't want to be here any longer than I have to!" I said in distress, scared of what would happen if Antonio came back from the gala in Greenwitch earlier than planned.

"Why, are you scared?' Lea said as she tore through the dozens of drawers Antonio had in his office with an annoying smirk on her face.

"What, no. I just feel like living and I want to go to sleep. Why did you want this jewel in the first place?" I said getting annoyed from the lack of sleep I had. I guess this is what I get for binge watching The Originals for the past three days.

Lea let out a puff of air and said, "I knew I would have to tell you eventually, but I didn't think I would tell you like this. Antonio's enemy, Lucien is holding my family hostage."

"Wait as in the Lucien, the second strongest warlord after Antonio and killed my family five years ago in a robbery." I asked with confusion.

"Yes, that one which is why I have to get the Jewel of light and give it to him before he kills them at sunrise. He said I have until sunrise Maya. So please trust me on this." Lea said with a desperate look in her eyes. She looked like she wanted to cry and that is saying something Lea never cries.

"Ok, I trust you. Let's find that jewel and get out of here." I said with determination. We looked through all of Antonio's drawers and cabinets until I found a secret compartment. "Lea," I whisper yelled, "look what found." She came running over and picked the lock on the compartment, it opened and I saw the most beautiful thing I have ever seen in my life.

There stood the Jewel of Light in all its glory we looked at it in awe until we heard a car pull up into the driveway. "Ok, its time to go Maya." Lea said. I nodded and we jumped out of the window and onto the grass below and sprinted to the back entrance we had found when we were trying to sneak in earlier that night.

We ran and ran until our legs gave out from underneath us. I fell to the moss covered floor while Lea was supporting herself on a tree. We were out of breath from running I looked around at my surroundings and saw that we were in the forest.

I pulled myself together and said, "Lea, let's go we have to go save your fam...." and everything went dark.

I groaned and went to rub eyes but my hands were restricted. I groggily looked around still disoriented from being knocked out or at least I think I was knocked out my head hurt like a bitch. I took in my surroundings and found myself in a warehouse of some sorts.

"Well, well if it isn't Maya Sinclair." a voice that sounded so familiar but I couldn't pinpoint whose voice it was until I saw her. That's when it hit me, Azra, the one who sent Lucien to kill my family five years ago.

"Maya, Maya, Maya, did you really think that you could escape me. " Azra said in a menacing voice that brought chills down my spine. "I finally caught you after half a decade of you trying to escape my clutches."

"No, why am I here. What did you do to Lea?!" I said in such a panic, looking around the room wondering where she was.

"Oh. You mean this Lea." Azra says as she moves to the side and there she was in clear view. Lea was tied to a chair and gagged, she was knocked just like I was due to the fact she had a trail of blood from her forehead to her neck. She woke up with a gasp and started thrashing around in her restraints.

Azra had a wicked smile on her face she signaled someone and they placed a bag over my head and led me somewhere. They took the bag off and then I saw where we were. "Now this is where the real fun begins." Azra said.

Her goons untied my hands and pushed me forward, they then did this to Lea. I didn't even know she was there until they pushed her to the floor. "Lea here has tricked you right into my grasps. Now you are going to fight to the death." said Azra.

I looked Lea with clear disbelief in my eyes. I didn't want to believe her. "Lea, don't lie to me. Is what she saying true?" I said praying that Azra was lying.

She nodded her head and that is when I lost it I punched her straight in the face. she fell to the ground, and looked up at me. "Maya, wait. Wait" she tried to explain but I didn't give her a chance.

"Why would you lead me to her?" I said. "I told you the backstory of what she did to my family and I, you knew that this is where we would be in the end. one of us would die, but you still did it anyway." I said with tears of frustration running down my face. I knew she wanted to say something, but she was crying too hard to say anything. "Tell me!!!" I yelled at her with so much anger I couldn't even recognize my own voice.

She looked at me, and I knew in that moment that she didn't know the exact reason either. "Maya I'm so sorry I led you to her. Please you have to believe me, I never meant any of this to happen." Lea cried out in a desperate voice then spoke again, "She threatened to kill me." after I heard this I didn't know what to think.

Azra started talking which startled the both of us, "I'm getting tired of all this drama," and shot Lea in the head.

"Noooooooo!!!!!" I yelled so loud I swear the warehouse moved. "Why?!" I said to Azra. This wasn't her style, she liked to see a battle between her prisoners.

"I'm THE strongest warlord in the world. I can do whatever I want." she said with a smirk, "I've been waiting five years to kill you after you escaped."

She turned around to get her katanas and I took the chance to grab the gun from a nearby guard's holster and shot Azra in the back. I took the gun and shot the rest of her bodyguards in the head. she only had six bodyguards, I guess she underestimated me. I had been training since the day I escaped from her clutches five years ago and I had a pretty decent shot.

I took her katana and plunged it into her heart. All my fears ended with her death. I finally faced my demons.

This is it I can finally live a normal life. I dropped the katana, took the gasoline from one of Azra's cars and poured it all over the warehouse and lit a match.

I walked away as the warehouse burned.
