CHAPTER 18

“Do you think she is going to be ok?” I heard a girl ask. “Well you can hear her heart beat, so I’m guessing that she’s ok.” Said another voice.

Then the room went silent, I tried to move my legs and hands but it didn’t move. Why the hell can’t I move? Am I paralysed? I started to breathe faster  and I felt my heart beat speed up. “Ariel get the doctor!” a voice shouted . A few seconds later the door bursts open and then I felt something being stabbed into my chest.

Then the darkness came again.

I opened my eyes slowly and looked at where I am. It looked like the hospital. I sat up and that’s when I realised that I can move. Praise the lord, I’m not paralysed.  Then I heard the door knob turn and two girls walked in and looked at me for a second before shouting, “She awake!”

One of them came and gave me a hug. Who the hell is she? Where the hell am I? that’s when I remembered everything. I was in the woods, I got lost then some guy named Nathan tried to rape me and then I was saved by Elijah. I remember shouting his name for help.

The doctor walked in and gave me a quick check out. “Well she seems to be fine, for now I think it’s best if you sleep because you are extremely weak.” I nodded my head and then looked over at the two girls with a questioning look.

They seemed to have realised it when they began to talk. “Hey, well this is Ariel and I am Chrystal.” Chrystal introduced. “Hi I’m Lydia.” I said and  they chuckled. “We know who you are, alpha told us.” Ariel said. “Oh.” I said awkwardly. Why isn’t he here? I mean, I would’ve wanted to see him.

“And where is the…um…alpha?” I asked. “He’ll be here shortly, he had some ‘business’ to attend to.” Chrystal said. I nodded and looked at them for a moment, Chrystal had blonde hair and blue eyes, and Ariel had really red hair and green eyes like mine.

The doctor came back in the room. “I think you should take a bath.” He said. “Ok.” I said and got of the bed. As my foot hit the cold ground I felt dizzy so I sat back down. “Are you ok?” Chrystal asked and I took a deep breath. “Yeah I’m fine.” I said and took the clothes and slippers from the doctor’s hands and walked into the bathroom and closed the door.

I looked at myself in the mirror and what I saw was hideous, I looked dead, I had black bags under my eyes, I looked skinny, and my eyes looked as if they were going to fall out of their sockets. I immediately brushed my teeth with the toothbrush it had there and went in to bathroom to shower.

When I was finished I dried my hair and skin and changed into the clothes that were given to me. Which was undergarments and a fitted blue denim jeans and a pink tee that kind of showed of my breasts, a little and white flats. I combed my hair over to one side and did a braid and walked out of the bathroom.

I walked back out and saw Chrystal and Ariel looking out of the window. “Well, I’m done.” I said as I approached them. “Great cause the alpha just arrived.” Ariel said and she grabbed my hands and walked out of the room. They checked in with the doctor and told him that we were leaving. As we walked out of the hospital I felt the warmth of the sun hit me, I bent my head back and took in the wonderful feeling.

Then I saw a black SUV in-front of me and immediately I knew that Elijah was in it. I began to feel nervous. Did he miss me? Did he even care about me being in the hospital? I asked myself hoping that the answer was yes.

 Jordan came out of the passengers seat and walked over to me and hugged me while Chrystal and Ariel walked of into another vehicle. I responded to his hug by wrapping my arms around him. “Hey how are you feeling?” Jordan asked as he pulled away from me and looked in my eyes. “Good, I feel good.” I answered. He smiled and opened the back door for me.

As he opened it my eyes locked with Elijah’s grey one’s. I started to blush as his eyes travelled up and down my body. He had on blue jeans and a fitted black shirt with his hair messed up in the most sexiest manner.

Sexy.

So fucking sexy.

I sat down and gave him a small smile which he returned. “Hey.” I said. “Hi.” He said and we sat there awkwardly. Jordan soon came in and sat down in the passengers seat in-front of me and looked at the two of us. “Where are we going now?” Jordan asked looking at Elijah.

“I don’t know. Where do you want to go little wolf?” Elijah said looking at me. He actually gave me a chance to say what I want. I want to go home. “I want to go-“ I stopped myself as I remembered what had happened the last time I wanted to go home, Elijah got mad and things didn’t end so well.

“The mall.” I said with a slight frown on my face. “Seriously? The mall?” Elijah asked in a bored tone. “Yes.” I said and sighed and nodded to Jordan which told the driver to go to the mall. “Here I brought this for you and this.” Jordan said while handing me my phone and earphones.

“Thanks.” I said. “Did you know that my birthday was yesterday?” Jordan asked me. No. I wonder what he did, how old is he? “No! what did you do for your birthday?” I asked him for some reason I felt excited. He chuckled and looked at me through the mirror. “Well it was, I didn’t really do anything, I was in the hospital with you the entire day, I’m not complaining though, cause you look beautiful when when you’re asleep and I turned 26.” He said with a smile.

I blushed when he said that I looked beautiful when I sleep and I don’t know what happened that made me do what I was about to do. I went around so I was between the drivers and passengers seat and also nearer to Elijah, and planted a soft kiss on Jordan’s cheek.

His entire face turned red, he was completely blushing but what I didn’t understand was Elijah began to crack his knuckles and clench his jaw but he never made eye contact with either of us he just stared out the window. What the hell is his problem? I ignored him and plugged in my ear phones and listened to ‘fancy’ by iggy azalea.
