A Chance At Romance

< Hey guys, this is my second story so far, i don't like stealer's.... tell me what you think ^.^>

Alexandra never really thought about dating, in fact  she wasn't sure how to date but since shes in 8th grade now all she ever hears is how so and so broke up and who's dating who. Alexandra began to leave the class room when her friend Zach caught her attention. "Hey, can you believe how many love sick people there are in this school, its crazy!" Alexandra thought about it for a minute and then she decided she couldn't agree more. "Hello, Alex... ya there?" "Huh, what" "What's going on inside that head of yours... you seem awfully silent today."I'm fine... just my day isn't going to well..." aw come on... don't tell me your thinking about dating, that stuff not good for you. "And what would you know, when was the last time you dated?" Alexandra had stomped Zach, whenever Zach doesn't respond, he cant reply to your remark. "well ima get going Zach.. see you later."

Alexandra was walking out the front of the school building when a boy she didn't know stepped in front of her. "Is this yours?" said the boy. Alexandra stared at the boy and then down at the paper he was holding. That paper was Alexandra's math test, she scored a 100% but All Alexandra  cared about right now was this mysterious boy, she had never seen him before. Alexandra looked into his deep hazel eyes they were so rich, His hair was light brown with blonde streaks and his muscle tone was incredible... there was not one part of his body that was imperfect. "Hello?" the boy said with a chuckle. "uh... um... thanks" said Alexandra . The boy smiled at her and left. For the first time Alexandra was love struck! She never felt this bubble of sensation inside of her.. she doesn't know exactly what it is but she has  a clue that it has something to do with that boy she saw.

The next day Alexandra had Math first.. as she walked down the hall towards her math room, she saw him. The boy that made her heart skip two beats, the boy who gave her something that was important and now she realizes that Zach was completely wrong.. all wrong. She thought to herself how could you not fall in love? but before Alexandra could finish her thoughts she got interrupted by Zach, the person she did not want to see." Hey, I'm sorry about yesterday.. i mean if you believe in dating then go for it.. who am i to tell you no?" For the first time Alexandra was speechless.. she didn't expect Zach to apologize. Not that Zach's not a loyal friend and all but that conversation yesterday was kind of a deep subject and led to many thoughts and possibilities. As Alexandra came back to earth she soon found out that Zach was no longer at her side and that she was the only one in the hallway. Alex quickly hurried to her first class before the Tardy bell wrung.

Alex, feet moving, earphones in her ear, and a song that made her life worth living was walking from school and to her house, 2 blocks away. Alexandra couldn't believe how much a boy could change her ego. Alex didn't even listen to her math teacher Mrs. Green in class today because she was to busy thinking about that boy. Plop! Alexandra's Mp3 player fell unto the ground as soon as she tried to pull a piece of gum from the back pocket of her jeans. She put her book bag down and retrieved her Mp3. She clicked the power button but it wouldn't come on... Alexandra tried 3 more times but it still didn't come on. Alexandra flopped down on the grass and looked at the sky as if it were to help her situation. "Hey, are you okay?" a familiar voice said to her. Alexandra looked to her left, the boy who she adores is running over to see why shes sitting on the grass like a useless Mouse. "Are you okay he said again?" Alex looked up at the boy, he had a polite appealing look in his eyes that would make any girl go crazy. "I'm fine, except my Mp3 player is not. What happened the boy asked as he sat beside Alex. Alex surprised her self as she was easily able to communicate her problem to her crush while he was sitting so close to her. The boy smelled very fresh Alex thought, whatever Cologne he uses must be very expensive.  "Well lets say I'm clumsy and i dropped my Mp3 player on the ground." "Did you try taking the battery out and blowing into it? "The boy took the Mp3 player out of her hand, brushing Alexandras's arm lightly. Alex observed as the boy took the back piece off of the Mp3 player and blew into the battery two times.. he did it a third time to insure that her Mp3 player would be fine. He then  pushed the power button on and immediately the screen of her Mp3 player came on. Alex simply smiled at this. "Thanks very much." No problem". " I have one question though" said Alex. "Yes??" "were you following me??" "oh, no said the boy i live around here actually I'm pretty close to my house." said the boy. "Really, i live two blocks away from school." "That's cool, well I'm sorry but i have to go, my parents are expecting me." The boy replied while he began to stand up. "Oh its okay... but thanks." Alex was a little disappointed he had to leave so soon but she also understood that  some parents are very strict. "I guess ill see you tomorrow...?" "okay" . As the boy began to leave a second later he turned around facing Alex and said " My bad, I never got your name." "It's Alexandra but you can call me Alex." "My name is Michael but i prefer to be called Mike." "Well bye Mike!

Friday came rolling around and Alex felt better than ever. Whenever Mike sees Alex he always gives her a friendly wave and everyday after school they would walk home together discussing their teachers and their classes. Alex felt that her friendship was building with Mike. She never had a friend who had things in common..  who knew that Mike likes Pretzels and Peanut Butter as much as  Alex does. Both Mike and Alex loved the color Green. Lately Zach and Alex have haven't been hanging out as much  because of Michael and now Zach is totally ignoring Alex.  Alexandra is seriously falling in love with Mike and she figures now is the time to upgrade her wardrobe. Alex doesn't exactly know how to. She always thought that she was plain Alex with shoulder length Brown hair and Brown eyes, not much growth in her chest area. Never gained wait, she has always been  skinny, not really skinny but average and never considered working out. She doesn't have bad break-outs and doesn't wear skirts or dresses. Alex thinks she has a chance at dating Mike because Mike told her he doesn't really like chicks who wears a lot of makeup and who fixes themselves in the mirrors all day long. He also likes a person who has chemistry and decent grades. Alex thinks shes right up his ally! But Alex knows better to play it safe than to put herself out there as desperate. Alex dedicated this weekend to buying a new Wardrobe, Lip Gloss, Blush and Mascara wouldn't hurt and a few Hair Tools to go along with her new look.

Alex got a lot of stares from the girls and glances from the boys. Alex felt proud of herself for accomplishing her "new look" .. not only did it boost her confidence but it made her happier inside. Alex didn't expect to apply Makeup so well but You tube really does help. Zach even noticed Alex and his facial expression showed how well she looked.

While Mike and Alex were walking from school, out of the blue Mike gave her a really sweet compliment that caught Alex off Guard. "You looked very beautiful today, and i don't know what it is but you seem happier." Mike said that so calmly that Alex couldn't help but smile. But soon after something else happened... Mike stopped in front of Alex. "What are you doing??" asked Alex as she looked into Mike's eyes, Mike took a long pause and then he came out with a boom. "Listen Alex .. i.. i.. feel like your apart of me.. whenever i go home i cant stop thinking about you.. from the day we started  talking i felt that i had known you forever.. Ive never meet a girl who could make me smile and feel comfortable around her at the same time and i like that your not like other girls.. you don't try to be something that your not.... you don't fake your way through life.. and your always honest and today you just looked so beautiful and i figured i would have to tell you sooner or later that i have a crush on you. Alex looked into Mikes eyes and they held eye contact for a really long time. It seemed as if Alex and Mike communicated through that long period of staring at each other... because before Alex could say a word Mike unexpectedly bent down and kissed her. He kissed her passionately and gently, their lips gathered into one harmony. Alex couldn't believe what was happening.. something that seemed impossible to her before but now she learns that there is a chance at romance and that you can never doubt yourself. Once they took a breath of air Mike grabbed her girlfriend's waist and happily the walked together until they reached home.

Wednesday

word spread around that Alexandra and Michael are dating the whole school talked about it but not in a negative way. Soon Alex and Mike Officially became a couple, they exchanged their numbers and took their relationship from there. Alex gained more friends, including Zach and all was looking well for them.
