"Ah! never mind..." Jun added scratching his head as he tapped Sanna.
"Let's sit here" Jun pointed at the desks beside me. "It's a four desk" Sanna added "perfect!"
I quietly sat on my desk as Sanna and her group continued to complain where to sit. In the end Sanna sat beside me, then Jun beside her and an empty desk.
"I swear... Chan is the worst friend!! How could he not sit beside his own friends!!" Sanna complained as she pushed Jun around nagging.
"Alright stop hitting me... I'm not the one at fault, plus our home room teacher is here." Jun interrupted as he calmed Sanna down
The two stayed quiet as we listened to our teacher's instructions. He explained school rules, and crap I didn't want to hear about.
When the bell rang Chan came over onto the empty desk beside Jun and we sat together for lunch.
"Hey..so— why don't we get to know each other?" Sanna whispered as she shoved a big piece of rice in her mouth.
Our desk was rearranged into a square, I sat beside Sanna then in front of her was Jun then Chan. Our lunches differ in so many ways, you could tell which person came from a wealthy family or had their parents set up their lunch.
"Why don't we start with you?" Chan explained as he hand a piece of ham into Sanna's lunchbox.
"Well...um... I just moved here from the city and— you guys are my first friends"—- I replied awkwardly as my ears turned bright red.
"Nice! Well my name is Jun if you forgot... but Sanna and Chan and I had been friends since we were babies, and basically your perfect for our group... Sanna really wanted a girl—friend in our group, since we're all boys..."
Sanna smiled at Jun thanking him. They seemed very close. Not just as friends. I felt like there was something more to it. I didn't dare to ask.
"Well...I'm glad to be a part of your group...you guys seemed very nice...um—— I hope we get along well in the future..." I mumbled as Chan stared at me smiling.
"Your a shy girl... you don't seem like it.." Chan calmly said
I couldn't answer him. I didn't know if it was a compliment. Or an insult. It was probably because of how I dress. Or how I put makeup on. Maybe. Maybe. Maybe————
"I get that a lot..." I replied in a quite voice. I continued to each my lunch that was prepared by my grandma. She packed a lot. But I wanted to finish it all. I didn't want to disappoint her.
"I'll go to the bathroom..excuse me.." I whispered to Sanna as I stood up from my desk.
I quietly headed outside onto the crowded hallways. It was packed with students who stared at me as I walked. They all seemed to know I was knew. I guess that's what's it's like living in a small village with only so little people. They looked at me top to bottom. They scanned every nook of me, not leaving any detail behind. I brushed my bangs onto my face, avoiding eye contact. I didn't want to be here. Why did I leave.
I finally reached the bathroom. My safe place. I couldn't help it. I felt sick from my stomach—- I thought I changed—- but I needed to throw it up. I'm sorry grandma....."
*Vomiting sounds*
"Omg someone is throwing up..gross..hahaha.." A student laughed telling her friendsI tried to vomit quieter. I was embarrassed. Why. Why now. Why here——
I wiped my mouth and flushed the toilet. I sat for a minute, trying to hear the smallest sound. I didn't want to leave yet. Someone might found out that it was me. I wouldn't be able to handle that.
When the room seemed quiet I opened the bathroom stall, and quietly stepped out.
"Yumi! Are you okay?" A voice asked
I looked up. And at that moment my life ended. I won't have any friends. They'll laughed at me. My life sucks.
