Soldiers

26 4 1

On the hill the soldiers lay
In wait for the enemies to be on their way.
Back at home their spouses pray
For their loved ones to be safely on their way.

Overseas our soldiers dwell.
Over where the oceans swell.
Some on land, some on sea,
Though home is where they yearn to be

Many face hardships,
Some man warships,
But they all serve our country
And stand proud like a mighty oak tree.

Our soldiers fight for Liberty
In wars of uncertainty.
In a war where many dread
To step foot where our soldier tread.

Those who serve our country
Do so with honor and dignity.
They give their lives to protect and serve
So that our citizens may receive the freedom they deserve.

We salute our soldiers when they return home,
We also mourn over our dead.
We take up our flag to honor the soldiers
And place it so that it may fly above our heads.
