Blood Love ~ A bughead Story

~ 2 ~

4:15 pm. the final bell, the sign that the weekend can start. The whole day I couldn't stop thinking about what Betty did. I mean, we were best friends. But just because I live on the southside, kept her mom me away from her. We were 10 that day, and since that day it hurts to ser her walking with Archie alone. We all know that Betty had a crush on him... but no one know that I have one on her. Sometimes I see her looking at me, but I just ignore it. I'll never get a chance to be her boyfriend. I'm the loner, outsider with a dark secret... She's the perfect girl next door who's a cheerleader and the best writer in the school. Sometimes I want to go and ask if I can join it, but I'm to scared that she would reject me. I grab my bag and walk out if the class. I wanted to walk to my locker until I saw a group of people around Betty's locker. Confused walked I to the group. "Come one Copper! We all know that you love me! You can't keep your eyes of me!" I recognise that voice; Chuck Clayton. He always bullied Betty 'cause you can't see her ribs so she's 'fat'. I think that she's perfect. I go to stand next to Archie and poke him softly in the side so he knows it is me. He sighs softly as he looks with his eyes at me. "What's happening?" I ask him quiet "Chuck is telling the whole school that he has slept with Betty and took her virginity away." U press my teeth's togheter. "Stop the bullshit Clayton! I don't have a crush on you and will never have on!" Betty yells back at him, he starts smirking and we all know how this is gone to end. "That's not what you said last night, baby" "What are you talking about?!" "I still hear you screaming my name Cooper..." I look at Betty and she that's she's curling her hands in a fist. "I'm going to help her Arch..." I say to Archie and walk into the group. "Actually, Chuck... She was with me last night." I put my hand on Betty's shoulder. She looks at me confused, I go with ly mouth to her ear and whispers "I'll tell you later" she nods a little and we look back at Chuck who's confused as f*ck "What was the perfect girl doing with you?" He ask "You know what Chuck, take this as a warning! Stay the hell away from Betty or you will regret your life!" He looks taken back. Betty looks at me and grabs my hand. "Come one Juggie.." We walk trough the group to the bleu and gold.

"What was that about? You like never snap 2 times on the same day. Do you wanna talk about it?" I ask Betty calm after we get into the blue and gold. She sighs "Just a fight with my mom this morning... She knows that I like a boy and she started yelling at me for it." She wipes her tears away and looks up "You don't have to worry Jug. Really..." I sigh, I want to say something but she gets a message. She sighs, looks at it and gets up. "Cheryl needs me to practice the choreografie once again... she you tonight Jug..." "Yeah see you tonight" She grabs her bag and walks to the door, before exiting she turn around. "What about, we go to pop's after the game?" I start to smile big. "As in a date?" She starts to grin "Yeah, maybe." "Ow, ok. I... euh.. I'll pick you up after the game? Or? Euh..." "Juggie... just wait at the bleachers ok?" "Yeah ok, see you in an hour..." "See ya!"

*Time pass ~ the game*
I'm standing at the bleachers, I don't wanna sit on it. They don't need to know that the loner boy is watching the game. I smile as Betty sees me and waves small. She turns around and Cheryl is walking furious to her. I look confused and try to hear what she's saying. "Betty! Why in God's name are you so bad! I regret taken you in the cheerleaders! Just because you're my cousin, did I allow you in the group! But your horrible! You can't nothing! After hours of training you still can't the dance!" Betty starts to cry a little, but without voice. I want to go there but I see Archie running to me with Veronica next to him. "Dude! Go help her! I can't go!" I yell at him. "Jug, calm down... Veronica is going" at that moment I see Veronica running to Betty and wrapping her in her arms. "Cheryl, back off! She's good you know! It's not because you're the HBIC you need to yell at her for not being perfect!" She looks at Betty and nods a little. Betty nods back and looks at Cheryl. "We quit! Try to find 2 other girls for the dance and the rest of the schoolyear! Come on Betty, let's go to pop's with the boys." Veronica takes Betty's hand and wants to walk to us, but Cheryl takes Betty's other hand and looks at me for a second. "Betty... if you're going out with the Jones boy, be careful ok? I don't trust that boy." She sighs and looks annoyed "I don't need your help ok? I go out with whoever I want. So back off! It's not because you're my cousin that you need to decide my life." She pulls her hand out of Cheryl's and walks to us with Veronica. "Everything ok? I never saw Cheryl do that to you" Archie asks her softly. She lets go of Veronica's hand and shrugs. "I don't know... she's always like that to me..." she looks at me with a little sad smile, we then both look at Veronica and Archie who are making out. I hear Betty groan next to me, I start laughing at that. "Guys, me and Jug are going to pop's you know! Since the game is done and everything." She sighs, I chuckle quietly next to her. She grabs my hand and pulls me away. We start walking to the locker room and she goes to her locker. "You know that I can't be here, right?" I ask her "Yeah... and I don't care... I'm going to text V and Arch to tell that we are already going to pop's..." "Yeah ok" she pulls out her phone and starts texing them, after that she pulls out her bag and looks at her clothes. She's wearing her cheerleading outfit. "What about... you wait at the door for 5 minutes and then we can go to pop's? I want this ugly thing off..." I grin a bit. "Yeah sure... 5 minutes or I'm comming in." She starts laughing a little "Ok deal... now out!" I walk out and wait 5 minutes. I turn around and open the door softly. "Betts?" "You can come in!" I sigh in relief and open the door. She's sitting on the bench tying her shoe's, she has a pink skirt on with a white tanktop and a jeans jacket. Her hair is bind in a tight ponytail. "Ready to go?" I ask her. "Jup! Let's go." She grabs her bag and my hand. We walk to pop's and have a small conversation. "You know," she starts "I'm kinda scared tonight.." "Why?" I ask her "Last time it was Friday the 13 and full moon... my mom died... and my dad got badly hurt... she got biten by something... not a vampire in case you want to know but they thought a dog... but yeah... I think it was a werewolf..."
Of course... how could I forget. There was a murder the last time. But the ghoulis did it... "And how are you sure it was a werewolf?" She smiles a little up at me... "I... I'm just... ughhh! I'm interested in vampires! I would like to met one or something 'cause I'm obsessed with them!" I look at her while she's looking down. I don't know if i should tell her of not. "Betty... I-" I get cut off bye a heart tearing scream. I look at Betty with wide eyes and she looks the same at me. We both run to the place. Betty stops and looks at the house we are. I, at first, didn't get it. But when I look up, I see her house. "Betts?" She runs inside and I follow her. She stands frozen at the door and is looking at something or someone. There's blood everywhere. I look at her and tears are streaming off her face. "Betts?" "It's the same wound..." "What do you mean?" She looks up at me and pulls me with her. Now I see what's happening. Her dad and sister are both lying on the floor. Dead. Both bitten in the face, arm and neck. "Look" she says while pointing on one of the wounds. "It's the same as by my mom..." "So your saying that it was a werewolf?" "Yes, I mean.... I could show you some proof if you want so-" Betty got cut of by a voice that was to familiar by me. "Looks like the serpent prince has found his princesses" I sighs and turn around to come face to face with Malachai "What do you want?" "The girl" I feel Betty grabbing my arm behind me and snuggeling her face in my back. "Yeah... not gonna happen." "You know Jones, sleeping with the betrayals kid is bad luck." I get annoyed, ok let's make this clear... Alice was a serpent... so she was a vampire... but Hal was a ghoulie.... so he was a werewolf... but just because they got married... is Betty none of them. She's not a werewolf and she's not a vampire. She's just a human. "You know, Malachai... She's just a human... she's not like us.... so leave her alone ok?" He puffs in anger. "What are you gonna do about it Jones?" I roll my eyes and pull Betty with me. "Listen, clean up your mess. Ok? I'm going to bring Betty to my house and I'll send my dad to talk to you... You can't hurt her and you know why. So leave us the hell alone!" I look at Betty who's looking confused. "I'll explain everything at my house ok?" She nods and we walk to my house.
