I promise the next chapter is already halfway written and you won't go 17 years before the next update.

"When did you feel the first kick?" Jasper asked, his hands cradling my stomach at the same time Carlisle's cold hands sent shivers through my body.

"Just a couple minutes. I gave Paul a hug and felt one of them kick." I replied with my eyes trained on Jasper's face as I tried to read him.

"Nearly gave me a damn heart attack with the way she gasped and jumped all at once." Paul added, causing me to chuckle.

"I wasn't expecting it!" I said, laughing and trying to somewhat defend myself.

"This is a really good sign; it means you're developing at a normal rate and we can better place about how far along you are in the pregnancy in human terms. While they don't seem to favor humans too much, if this is similar, it should put you at around 18 to 20 weeks." Carlisle said.

His statement sent mixed emotions soaring through my body. On one hand, I was happy and relieved; we knew more about my pregnancy, we knew more about how far along I was and this was a sign they were both healthy. On the other hand, I was disappointed and felt kind of sad. I felt like I should have had more time before being halfway through this.

I shook it off, telling myself I was lucky that I was able to experience it and not have it be as traumatic as Bella's had been.

Jasper was staring at me with an eyebrow quirked as he read my change in emotions, but I shook my head, a way of saying I would tell him later.

"Thank you for bringing her here so quickly." Jasper spoke next, looking up at Paul.

"No problem. Don't want my little sister to strain herself too much after we beat each other's asses." He said, smiling as I flicked him off.

"I whooped your ass and that's all there is to it." I said smugly.

"Whatever you say, I'm not going to argue with a pregnant lady." He replied.

"Better not. I'll get my imprint to whoop your ass." I joked, laughing at the sour expression that covered his face.

"That's not fair. The law states I wouldn't even be able to fight back." I heard Carlisle let out a chuckle at his response as he wrote a couple of notes in the journal he kept through Bella's pregnancy and now my own.

"I'd actually enjoy us fighting." Jasper said, looking over at Paul with an interested look on his face. My anxiety shot up at the thought of the two of them fighting and I looked between the two of them.

"What?" Paul questioned, crossing his arms over his chest.

"Not a serious fight. Something like Laela and Emmett's fight." My anxiety settled over Jasper's statement.

"I forget that fight happens sometimes, honestly. We should ignore it." I said, not even wanting to think about them play fighting.

"I agree." Emmett said from the living room.

"You'll never forget that I beat you!" I shouted.

The net few weeks went by even faster than before. Weekly check-ups, the inability to phase, and constant attention from Jasper made it all go by in a blur of happy moments. The packs were both supportive and the elders had been informed of what happened. They weren't happy, but when neither alpha had an issue with it, they decided they couldn't do anything.

My bump was now to the point where even a human could tell I was pregnant, but I wasn't in need of any maternity clothes. They were both growing healthily, but we were still half-blind.
