Quick A/N before we start!
This book will be published on Quotev on Sunday, 3 days earlier than here.
If you want more fanart of Undertale, don't forget to check out my Amino page ( my posts may not show, so go into the Undertale AU Amino)
The story will also be published on there, albeit very delayed (Is that how you use that word?)
I will try to make the chapters worth the wait (One week I guess? Unless I'm very motivated and want to publish more)
Another note, before I forget: Some chapters may include violence, loss and upsetting topics, however, all will be good in the end! If you have anxiety or depression or any other issues with upsetting topics, please beware, as I am not sure if my writing/story offends anyone.
Enjoy!
"How many times are you going to do this?"
Every time there is a pacifist run, several genocide runs will soon follow after. Every time I find myself at peace, I realize that all will reset and I will be standing in that same Judgement Hall, again and again, tortured by the human's laughter, resets and kills. It was painful to know that I was one of the only ones aware of the timeline jumps.
Many times, I took advantage of the resets, but every time the cursed human appeared in the same forest, they would reset and force me to live through the pain of genocide.
I looked across the Judgement Hall, looking upon the human. They had their mouth in a wide smirk as they listened to my monologue. I always arranged the words differently each time they reset, but it seems they didn't care. Too engrossed in the enjoyment of genocide to notice my knowledge of timeline jumps.
"Ah, Sans. How many times have we met here again? Twenty? Fifty? A hundred times? I have no clue. Not really worth counting," the cruel human informed me, not answering the question. But I already knew this would happen, and the simple answer would always linger in my mind. They would do this for as long as they want until they feel lonely and start sparing everyone. Then again, they would simply reset after one attempt of pacifism, and go back to genocide.
"Why must you do this? Can't you be satisfied with a happy ending?" I asked, hoping to get some more information on their motive. I never understood the joy of killing everyone, and I never will.
They widened their grin slightly more as they left me confused with a simple answer. "This is my happy ending. Power, accomplishment, and death to all monsters."
"Then why must you continue after achieving your, 'happy ending'?" If I keep stalling the human, I can maybe gather up enough magic to use a stronger attack. But it would be useless in the end, wouldn't it? Their determination is way stronger than my magic, and every time they come back, they are stronger.
They brandished their knife, an eerie silence filled the hall as they giggled to themselves, proud of their success of the genocide. Their eye's glowed with red. Their hands twitched with excitement. The giggles grew louder, becoming laughter.
"Because I enjoy watching you all drown in despair," they whispered in my ear. How had they reached me so fast? I hadn't even blinked, only watched their movement, so how had they traversed meters in milliseconds?
In response to their quick attack, I sidestepped and turned their soul blue, throwing my hand down as hard as I can to injure them more. My gravity attack's damage always varied, depending on how strong I swung my arm downwards. The human lifted their head, despite my attack, and brought up their hand, flicking their fingers. Their soul turned red as they resisted my attack. This was new.
