the 7th nightly

Late at night, Baby woke up from her bizarre dream. Putting her hand onto her chest breathing heavily holding back her warm tears.. It took a moment for her to catch her breath and calm down,

"this...was the 7th time in a row." She looked over at the clock, and saw that it was 12:00 AM; midnight. She then looked over observing the others whom were sleeping peacefully.

Baby sneakily got out of bed and walked out of the room and headed towards the kitchen.

She was about to open the fridge to get a glass of milk, but was interrupted by a sudden cough..behind her was Ennard himself sitting at a table not far away..

Baby quietly turned around and faced him,

"Um.."

"So..why are you up so late?" Ennard asked.

"Well...I just woke up from..a nightmare. Sorry if I caused any disturbance.." She said slowly looking down.

Ennard glared at her for a moment and spoke again,

"So, you're just having trouble sleeping because of this 'nightmare?'" Ennard asked trying to figure out why Baby was up.

Baby nodded and went back into the fridge and got out the milk. She poured some milk into a cup while Ennard continued,

"Do you want to talk about it?..It could be helpful...If you want to?" Ennard asked, trying his best to be a little supportive. He couldn't help but think about his own nightmares that happened before with Endo, and now one of his children may be involved.

Baby thought about it for a moment and went over to sit next to Ennard.

"I..guess I want to talk about it a little, but promise not to share it with the others?"

Ennard nodded.

"At first the nightmare only took me in a void..of some sort?...it was very dark and I could barely see..I heard voices whispering around me, then a fire started to flare in a circle around me...I couldn't help but feel myself melting, not able to move, and bearing the pain while my mouth was clamped shut so I wouldn't scream for help."

she said almost tearing up, and she then continued..

"I..It was terrible, like I was being punished for something I didn't do..it took awhile after all the burning. The...stronghold from the chains that was keeping me in place. They all went away after some time..my sight began to blur, but I notice someone heading towards me before I start blacking out."

Ennard's expression changed. He wasn't happy to hear what Baby said.

"S..so..it stopped there?" He questioned.

Baby paused for a moment.

"No...it didn't....well for the first night it did, but these nightmares continued after. Each one seems a bit different..I don't want to go further into the nightmares, but it disturbs me." Baby gently wiped off her tears.

Ennard wrapped one arm around baby and gently moved her closer to him giving her a slight side hug.

"So..it's been going on for awhile and you haven't talked to me about it sooner...." He said.

"Well I-" Baby was interrupted by Ennard,

"it's okay Baby..I understand you may be very uncomfortable to share these types of things with anyone, but listen if you keep having these nightmares please come to me ok?.."

"O..ok ennard......Thank you for listening.."

"No problem..I'm sorry I need to cut this short, but-" Ennard was saying but Baby interrupted,

"Yea yea..go ahead and do your business. I can wait..I'll go back to the room after I'm done." Baby said.

"Ok..stay safe.." Ennard left the kitchen and went back to his office.

Baby continued to sit there at the table, slowly pulled her glass of milk to the side and facepalm the table with a slight groan.
