"Dear Ms.Bellamy, I am delighted to inform you that you have been accepted into the Archambeau Private Institution of Music!!!" Mary exclaimed between sobs as she skimmed through her letter.

"Oh my goodness, I am so proud of you!" April embraced her in a tight hug. "Congratulations!"

"April! I did it! I did it! I am going to Archambeau! I can't believe it!"

"I am so proud of you," April said once again, blinking away a few sparks of bitter tears.

After all, Mary is a genius, she doesn't need anybody. They all knew that, they all did.

Albert left.

Benji left.

And soon, Mary will be gone too.

April will be all alone then, stuck in a familiar place with no familiar faces or feelings.

They were once the miracles of the school and the closest of friends, always seen together chattering about the latest admission scandal or their upcoming competition. They were like siblings, bickering and pulling each other's hair, but they still loved each other very much.

However, as each of them grew older, their wings hardened, and they are ready to soar. Benji dropped out of school to be in the national archery team, Albert went to the most prestigious private school in the state with a full scholarship, and Mary, of course, got accepted into the top music academy in the nation.

Soaring means leaving their old life behind, and these teens knew that before they could walk. Since a young age, they were prepared to throw away their day-to-day life at any second in order to welcome their new extraordinary existence. It is also a reason why they became friends, being alone is far too depressing, having some temporary friends is better than none at all. Each of them has a destiny ahead of them. They all understood that one day they will go separate ways, so why not enjoy each other's company when they still can.

They were born as geniuses, so they must live like one.

April might be a late bloomer compared to her friends, but she is the math mastermind of the region with exceptional streaks in winning tournaments. Although the clock is ticking now, all of her friends have embarked on their journey to prominence, and her future is still in the obscurity...

Until her acceptance letter from the Lewistown Mathematical Academy came.

Her chapter has begun, not much later than her friends. However, unlike them, she isn't as heartless. She never mastered the art of letting go. She likes to hold on to the smallest bits of her journey and smile on her faded memories. The empty taste of losing a piece of her makes tears swell up in her eyes.

Still, she knows, deep in her heart, that dreams and talents come at a cost, a cost in which she and her friends all had to pay.

They are all dream chasers, and they have all soared.
