Fire consumes with a ravenous hunger... a hunger that cannot be satisfied by anything or anyone. Screams of agony and suffering do nothing to stop it...

The sky glistened with brilliant hues of crimson and orange, like that of blood flowing freely from an open wound.

The thundering waves pounded against the coarse sand like a drum. The gentle breeze blew the salty mist into the air, giving the area the calming scent of the ocean.

I look around. Everywhere I turn there are the crimson hues of blood spilling from the bodies of my family and friends. I am all alone. What have I done?

The rain pattered on the roof as if millions of fairies were having a dance. Small droplets of water rolled down the window, leaving water trails behind them.

The crystal clear water glittered in the noon-day sun. She winced as her bare feet hit the scorching sand. It was hot -too hot for bare feet to handle. She ripped off her swimsuit coverup and sprinted down towards the sapphire-blue water. She dove down. Deeper, deeper,, deeper still, until her lungs forced her to ascend. The water was refreshing and cool. The girl swam for some time, then decided to head back to her rental hotel. When she arrived, she was met by a breathtaking view, and it was at that point that she knew this would be the best vacation ever. Or so she thought, because deep in the water, down in the murky depths where no sea creature dared to venture, there was a pair of red eyes, dimly glowing in the near-black water, watching her every move, and just waiting for the opportune moment to strike.
