I slightly open my eyes and remember what day it is, it's moving day. I let out a loud deep groan and get up and start my day. I walk into the bathroom and look at my black hair and realize I need to shower. I jump in and shower pretty fast. When I get out my mom is already yelling at me and telling me to "get your ass in here". I am supposed to be helping with packing but I've been procrastinating hoping I didn't have to go. I go to my room and put on a black t-shirt and black jeans and my checkered vans and go downstairs.

My mom has basically packed the whole house; and our house is pretty big. All that was left was my room. I tried talking to my mom and saying I didn't want to move and that we were fine here in Miami. She said we had to go because of her new job and her new boyfriend Maximus. I don't really like him, he's not the worst but not the best. He makes my mom happy so that's alright I guess...? I give up trying to convince her, not like I was going to anyway, but I go to my room and start packing

I ended up finishing in like an hour and I was pretty proud. Me, my mom and my sister all load up the moving truck and head off on our 10-hour drive to South Carolina, where my new life is awaiting.

We finally arrived at our destination and we couldn't go out and explore because we were so tired so we just went straight to our new home and slept. We woke up and I just wanted to go outside and walk around and explore by myself. I ended up walking by a park and saw a girl sitting at the swing by herself and I figured now is a good time to make some friends. I came up to her and said "hey, want a push?"  The girl looked up and laughed and said "yeah actually!" I went ahead and did so and while she was swinging we started talking and instantly connected, she told me her name was Jade and that she's from Delaware and was homeschooled until last month, which is actually so cool. I told her about myself and we instantly became best friends, she was so far my only friend.
