Epilogue

(Many Years Later)

>Colin’s POV<

            I lie in my hospital bed, and look at myself, old, and full of wrinkles. All these years alone without anyone. Apparently I was the one to live long, while the others passed away years ago. I can’t wait. I will finally be able to see Nathan again. Ever since Nathan’s death I sworn not to date anyone and I was successful at that. I’ve been alone all my life, with a great job that was the exact same as my father’s job. I had my house, and everything I could ever want, but it would never fill the void that Nathan had filled all the time.

            All of my sisters’ children would visit me sometimes during the holidays, and with Nathan’s brothers’ families would come over too, to comfort me. Their kids always loved me for some reasons. Well considering all the gifts I gave them from time to time until they had their own families. I missed my teenage life, but apparently you couldn’t live forever, and here I was on the last minutes of my life. My eyes felt heavy, and the last sound I heard was the beeping of the machine that was keeping track of my heart.

            Everything was all white. I covered my eyes and opened them, and two figures approached me. One of them was a tall, muscular blonde man, and the other was a woman with brunette hair and blue eyes. “Who are you” I asked, a little bit puzzled and worried. The smiled and the man said, “We are Nathan’s parents.” I shook their hands and then Nathan’s mom said, “Come on. We have something to show you!!” They both put an arm around me and we walked into the light.

            Everything got brighter, and I shut my eyes. Then Nathan’s father said, “Open your eyes. I think you’ll love it.” I opened my eyes and it was a blur, but when my eyes adjust, I look around, seeing an amazing beach oasis. I see my sisters, and Nathan’s brothers all young. I look at myself, and I’m back to the person I was when I first met Nathan. Young and beautiful. My sisters, and Nathan’s brothers turn around and immediately tackle me into a large hug. When I wiggle out, I give each other them a hug.

            After finally giving Sean a hug, I ask, “Where is Nathan??” Sean smiles, and then he says, “He is in his room… waiting for you.” I smile and turn around to see a beautiful, large, Spanish-looking house. I walk towards the back porch, and enter the house. I look in the family room, and see my parents and the McCrea’s parents. They got up and hugged me as well. I then asked Nathan’s mother, who came in, “Where is Nathan’s room?”

            She smiled and then said, “He’s on the 3rd floor. The farthest door back.” I nodded and silently headed upstairs. I finally got the 3rd floor and down the hallway, a white door with some Japanese symbol on it was all the way down the hall. Silently I walked to it. When I reached the door, I held onto the doorknob, hesitating to open the door, but I listened to my heart and opened the door.

            The room was large, with red walls, and with black and white flourishes. I looked to my left, seeing a large California King Bed, with its cover just like wall. I then sat on the bed. The room was empty so I decided to sit on his bed. Then just as I sit down, the door opens and there is Nathan only a towel on his waist. He then looks up, seeing me and gives me a huge smile. “Colin.” “Nathan” we say at each other.

            I get up and he runs at me, with this towel falling off, and hugs me tightly. “I missed you so much Colin.” Nathan says against my chest. I chuckle, and ruffle his smooth brunette hair. He looks up at me smiling and I smile back. “I missed you so much Nathan. I couldn’t live without you.” He smiles and I smash my lips to his. His lips were heaven. Hah. Well guess where I am?? HEAVEN!! Our lips moved in sync, and Nathan’s arms wrapped around my neck.

            Then our tongues fought for dominance, and I let him win, to explore my mouth. I missed his kiss that it’s like being re-addicted to the drug you quit using. He smiled and chuckled into the kiss. I then fell backwards onto Nathan’s bed and our lips parted. I looked into his eyes, which were now full of happiness and joy, rather than fear, and sorrow. I pecked a kiss on his lips and he giggled and said, “I love you.” I reply with, “I love you too.” He smiles and puts his head on my chest. I miss him so much. This was something never to give up on. This was worth all the fighting. Now I am here….
