Humans are always scared of things they cant understand. Our kind lived in peace with the other races, including humans, for a while. But they got scared of our powers when we bonded with a race.
If we don't bond with someone, we go to hell to protect the gate and let no living in. We couldn't go there if they bonded. It was a choice. Either join the guards or start a family in the mortal realm.
When we turn eleven, we get to visit hell through a gate. Then at 25, we become guards if we don't bond with someone. That's is the life of a Hellhound.
When the humans found out about the bonds and what they did, they got scared. We could take a human form if we bonded with a human. You see, when we bond, it's forever to us. It's like marriage.
If we try to break it, we die when the bond started. It's no turning back. We become one. We could talk telepathically with each other. And if one dies, the other will too.
We usually only have two forms our dog form and the hellhound form. But when we bond, we get a third. We can take on the shape of the race we bond with and all the strength that comes with it. The only downside was the weaknesses in certain races.
But we were happy. We even had a village. Always something to do there. Kids are running around, and the elders are complaining about it. We were usually in our first form. But everything got worse when an army of a kingdom close by ruled by the humans came and killed everyone. We didn't stand a chance against them. Yes, we were stronger in magic and physical strength. But they had numbers. Our village was small since most when to Hell and guard the gate.
Before they could get to me kill me, my parents cast a spell that took me far away. And I never saw them again. My parents were the leaders of the village. The chiefs were strong but against many, not so much.
So they cast the spell in hopes I get to survive. And this is my story. Marcus the hellhound from another realm.
Marcus POV: After the spell was cast
"Where am I?" I thought to myself. Still a bit blinded after the bright light from the spell that got me here. I couldn't smell anything burning. It was quiet. It looked like I was in an alley of some sort. But the buildings were huge.
Then I heard something. I heard someone's footsteps. When a person got close, I opened my eyes. I saw a woman running my way. When she got close, she saw me. I saw her gasp at my appearance. "Yeah, I probably don't look that good with blood on me and cuts" I thought to myself.
She got close to me and said something I couldn't understand. Then she started running where she was headed. But started to jump too, high for a human the first time. The second she flew away. "Humans can fly? Well that's new."
Kara POV:
"That poor dog, I'll look for him after I'm done saving my sister" With that thought, I started flying towards the place where my sister was. When I got close, an engine that was burning flew off from the plane. I shielded myself from it.
I got close again and holding the flaps of the plane on the left side. It didn't work, so I flew down and started lifting the plane from the bottom. I pushed with all my might to set it straight, and it seems to be working. While holding the plane upside down, I looked forward and saw a bridge in my path.
"Oh, come on!" I said out loud. I let go and started holding the plane from the bottom with both my arms above my head. I started grunting and hearing the plane denting because I pushed to get it upwards with my strength.
I started pushing more strength to it, and I screamed, "AHHHHHH" the plane shifted sideways and made it past the bridge. And brought it upwards, and it landed roughly on the water, but it looked like I did it. I swam up and made it back to the plane's left-wing. I started to climb on top of it with some difficulty, and I did it.
Lights were shining on me from above, and I started to smile while being exhausted from what I did. After a few seconds, I started to fly again.
A few minutes later at Kara's apartment:
"The passengers of flight 237 appear to have a guardian angel. When what many reports to be a female flying from" I squealed and said to Marcus, "Oh, my god I did that can you believe it?"
The dog who got questioned who I found back at the alley was lying next to me looked weirdly at me. I found him again when I was heading home named him Marcus.
It took me a while to find him, but in the end, I did. He didn't trust me in the beginning. It took me a while, but I got him to trust me a bit. I picked him up, and something weird happened. Time slowed down around us and lighted, blinding me.
Just as the light came, though, it was gone, and time started normally again. I looked around, worried that something happened. Marcus, however, looked happy and even licked my face a couple of times. After a few seconds of nothing happening, I just thought it was my imagination and went home, and here we are now.
I continued listening on the TV. "Leyna Nguyen is live at the scene," the guy on the TV said. "Thank you, Rick. Guardian angel or human wrecking ball?"
"What? can you believe this?" I said to Marcus while facing him for a second. Marcus just tilted his head, looking adorable while doing that.
Leyna Nguyen continued, "There is destruction all over Otoo binder bridge. And one ..."
"Well you try saving a plane for the first time see if you don't make a mess," I said, annoyed at the lady and standing up.
"Oh my god" someone sighs behind me. I turn around and saw my sister Alex.
"I know!" I said excitedly while jumping up and down, "Its incredible" I continued while giggling, now moving fast towards her and hugging her while hearing a few bones cracking under the pressure of the hug.
"Ow" she said painfully. "Oh sorry, that was to hard I am just so excited." I said. Now panting, I continued saying "I cant believe I did it"
"Yeah neither can I, are you okay?" A female voice behind us asked worriedly. "And is that a dog over there?" She said pointing towards Marcus.
