🎈 Mavis pov 🎈
It was the third last day of school in Derry, everyone was excited that the summer holidays were close but I wasn't. I didn't have any friends to call my own. Hi, my name is Mavana Jane Parker, I prefer Mavis though; I'm 15 years old and I hate people, especially Henry Bowers and his gang of goons who have nothing else better to do then bully people for entertainment.
I walked down the hallway as the bell rang for recess, I was the first one out of there, who wants to be stuck in a history class anyway? Not me, I hated history, it was the most boring subject known at this dreadful school, "get the fuck out of here you fairy!" I heard someone get shoved into the lockers, I winced as I heard them groan.
"Leave him alone, Bowers!" I heard someone else shouted and then I heard another clash with the lockers. I couldn't wait to get out of here.
"What are you gonna do about it? Fairy." I heard him sneer, I turned on my heel to see Don getting bullied by Henry. Don Hagarty was openly gay at our school and the only person who didn't like it was Henry and his goons. I'm pretty sure half of them are queer as well.
"Henry! Leave Don alone would you?" I sighed as I marched towards them and stood in front of the beaten up queer behind me, his nose was bleeding and his cheek was bruised.
"What are you gonna fucking do about it? Crackhead?" He sneered at me while I stood my ground and grinned.
"Well your dad is a copper, I would watch your movements, Bowers, he might just swing by." Henry flinched slightly but growled and punched me right in the nose, I groaned but I stood up straight and held Don behind me in a protective way.
"Shut the fuck up you four eyed loser!" He spat in my face as I growled back at him.
"No! You listen to me, Bowers!" I shouted as I jabbed my finger towards him, everyone went silent, no one stands up to Bowers, ever. "you need to leave him alone! You have no right to discriminate against someone who's just as human as everyone else...except for you, you're a monster." I sneered but as usual, when does he listen? Henry punched me again and I shoved Don out the way as I slapped Henry across the face, he took his chance and scrambled away as I got beaten up, but I didn't go down without a fight.

"I can't believe it, Mavanna! What the hell were you thinking?!" My aunt scolds me as we walked down the hallway. I shushed her as we kept walking until I saw the front doors.
"I was protecting someone, Aunty." I told her as I winced while I pushed the door open and held it for my Aunty; she thanked me as I let the door go and carried my heavy bag on my bruised shoulder.
"Who were you protecting?" She asked in confusion as her stern voice softened.
"His name is Don Hagarty, he's a queer and Henry was picking on him, again, I've had enough so I told him to piss off and leave him alone but he didn't listen... Henry punched me first, he started it...I finished it." I said proudly as we made our way towards her car, I saw Bowers' dad and he tilted his hat down before pushing it back up, I curt a nod at him and got into my Aunty's car.
"Well...I can't be mad at you for that..." my aunt trailed off as she started her car up, she turned to me and sighed, "how's your face?" She asked me with a smirk on her face and I chuckled before wincing.
"Better than his." I muttered and she laughed before smacking my knee, I flinched slightly but laughed with her
"Ada girl." My aunt pats me on the shoulder and I groaned, she pulled back her hand and cringed slightly, "sorry...a good bath will do the trick when we get home." She told me as she started the car again and drove off.
