Crunch crunch crunch. The hiker would go through the dry and dead leaves, making a booming noise each step as if stepping on frail bones. She would pass a sign named Pine Ridge Hiking Trail as she climbed over a yellow gate to stop any trespassing cars. She would gaze back at the mountain side behind her, looking down in the deep deep dark at the bottom. She would gaze back with her flashlight and keep walking down the tr- mmMMMMMMMMRRRRRHHHHHHHHHHhhhh... She would jump from the sudden alarm of a tornado warning, blaring to the left of her. The birds would fly away from the trees from the sudden alarm, cawing in the process. She would stand still out of fear and shock, listening for it again. Soon after 5 seconds the alarm would go off again, but would grow louder...and louder...and louder. She would gather her courage and just walk-run as quickly down the left path. But as soon she walked for a little, the sounds stopped... all the sound she hears is the crickets around and a couple of caws from birds coming back to their nests. Everything was still, too still... she shined her flashlight around the trees above her in the canyon path. All she would see are just plain large logs around her, dropping any dead leaves. But one tree caught her attention, it looks skinny, way too skinny, as if it was standing on two branches looking like human bones, next to them were long boney looking arms stretching down almost to the trees feet. As she was about to point the flashlight to the top of the tree it suddenly lurched with its hand at her, making a scratch on her stomach, throwing her to the ground. She instantly drop her backpack began to ran down the trail, while in the background the sound of the emergency broadcast system was playing, chasing after her saying BEEP, BEEP, BUUUUUUURRRRRRRR "This is just a test of the emergency broadcast system..." BEEP, BEEP, BEEP. This thing would be chasing after her, with its large legs, gaining onto her. She would be panicking, breathing loudly, aching in pain from the scratch, yelling for help if anyone was there. She couldn't see much from the dark, trying to point her flashlight straight as she can.The thing would try to grab her but only scratch the ground almost getting her. She would run into some thorn bushes, making small parts of her clothes get stuck on the bushes. It felt like she was running forever like in a nightmare, she prayed this was just a nightmare and she would soon wake up, but sadly, she would reach a dead end, just with 3 trees. She would look back and see the tall figure standing there doing nothing. After just 6 seconds it would begin to move onto her. She would trip, begging for mercy and screaming for help. As it came close its hand would thrust into her legs, making sure his prey didn't escape. She would scream in agony, hearing the bones crack and snapping from the mass of the hand, exposing the tissue of her right leg. She would begin to cry, screaming for her mom or anyone else who may be close by. The creature's hand would begin to scratch her stomach with pure force, with each thrust more blood would spill out on the ground and trees with her skin flying everywhere and soon exposing organs, some of them hanging off her stomach, as she would scream more in pain, as if she woke up during surgery. The creature would soon pick her up, having its branches go through her skin in the process. The creature would lift her to his sirens on his head, facing her right to it, showing the fleshy mouth, with its large large sharp teeth with its long tounge out. She would be coughing out blood, looking very pale from the lack of blood she has inside. The creature would squeeze harder, making her scream with blood coming out, spilling out into the creature mouth. It would be like it the creature enjoyed it screams, savoring every bit until her dieing breathe. She finally gave out her last scream until her blood loss got to her, making her a motionless corpse now. The creature found no use now of her, so it lurched forward, biting her head off, spilling out the rest of her blood onto his lips, using its tongue to lick up every last drop on him. It would soon take the body with him for later, walking out of the bloodied area into the darkness of the night while replaying the screams of the hiker on his head.
