I got to the city as it started to pour, the rain sounding like someone was pounding on the roof of my car. My windshield wipers going fast as they fling the water off as my window was almost spotless. I then pull over to the side of the road in front of a coffee shop. I sigh softly, I just wanted a calm drive but this rain. it made it harder to see as it kept falling and the pounding was not ideal for this. I looked out my side window to see the coffee shop was still open. I sigh deeply as I know I was about to have a shower for the third time today.
I turned my car off as I put my keys in my pockets. I looked around in my car, hoping to find a umbrella. I gasp with relief as I find one in my back seat and giggle happily, "Fuck Yes." I say as it was a win, even though it was a small one. I pull it up as the umbrella still had to pop open. I open my car door as I shove it through the crack and it pops open. I felt the heavy ran crash into it. I stepped out an close my car door. I then ran to the coffee shop and get in as fast I could.
I was inside after I took in a relaxing breath as I closed my umbrella, shacking off some of the rain water on the floor. I then looked to the coffee bar as I saw a woman behind it looking over at me with a warm smile. I gave a small wave before walking to the bar, "Can I have a hot chocolate?" I asked as I pulled out my wallet from my jeans. "Would you like it dark or light?" She asked as she moved to hot steamer near by that had two nozzles, one was dark and the other was light. "Um light, with some caramel in it?" I asked. She nodded as she hit the light nozzle to fill up a cup before bring it to a caramel pump, adding a bit of it. She then put a spoon into it and began to stirrer it in.
I look around the coffee shop as I see a few others here, I wonder if they just didn't want to go out in the rain. Then a girl in the stole my eye as she looked to be older, but it was mostly for her platinum hair. I then paid and took my hot chocolate and sat at a table. I sip from my delicious hot chocolate, the warmth of it making me feel fuzzy. I smiled happily before taking out my phone, using the free Wi-Fi. As I was exploring the internet, I put on my head phones and began to watch YouTube. I was giggling to myself here and there as I was in my own little world. Till She sat down across from me, the platinum haired girl.
My eyes shifted from my phone then across the table to see her hands on the table, her fingers long and thin as a her right hand had two rings on her middle finger and her ring finger. I then looked up more to see her black coat that had a blue lining. Her coat seeming to be tight on her chest and her midriff. My eyes then meet hers, they were light brown. My eyes went over her face as her nose was small and round. Her lips thin, but her top lip is a little more plump. The jaw line was smooth and came to a sharp stop at her round chin. Her hair straight and end in curls. As I breathed in I smiled softly before I said, "Hi."
She gave a small giggle, "That's all? Hmm, I thought you seemed more like the type to start a conversation. I am Cristina, I saw you walk in. You love this place so mush you would come here in the pouring rain?" She asked with a faint smile. I looked down at my cup, "I mean they do make some good drinks, but I was planning on just taking a drive. Then it just kept raining, I thought it wouldn't have lasted this long." I say as I look out the window, It was still down pouring. I sighed softly, "I say about maybe till sunrise, then it will stop." I say before I looked back at Her.
"So what's your name?" She asked me. I then responded, "I am Chloe, Thanks for asking." She nodded slowly, "Do you do anything Chloe?" Cristina asked me as she began to lean on the table. "I work from home, I took over my grandpa's farm and I made it back into a horse ranch. I also do a little graphic art designing for some companies, I work from home. You?" I took a sip of my drink as I waited for her to reply.
She gave a soft smile before saying, "I travel here and there for my work. I see the sights and see if they are worth traveling to for the company I work for." She looks out the window, "I have to go soon, but the rain doesn't seem to be calming down yet." She added before leaning back in her chair. Her eyes kept watching the rain fall as I just sat there, now feeling a little off being beside her. I saw a menu on the table and I take it into my hand as I look over it. I wonder if the still serve food at this time, "Ill Be right back," I say to Cristina. She gave me a small nod. I headed to the counter as I asked the woman behind it, "Do you still have a cook here? I know its late, but I'm hungry and could go for a grilled cheese and a coffee this time." I say in a soft tone.
The woman gave me a smile and nod, "Yeah, that's a easy one to make. If it was like one of the bigger orders I would have to say no, I can cook. Though I am not the one that is supposed to do it, he didn't come in for his shift." She talked as she got my coffee ready and then looked at me, "Now, what would you like?" She asked me with a kind smile. I looked at her name tag, Sam was her name. "May I have a caramel coffee with a little milk and...you know what throw in a oatmeal cookie." I say with a giggle.
Sam gave me a smile, "You have a sweet tooth, huh?" She said with a soft laugh. I nodded and replied, "Yes, it is a blessing and a curse." I say to her with a smile and a friendly tone. She made my coffee, then handed to me with my cookie. I smiled at Sam, "Thank you cutie," I said as I realized what I said. I saw Sams cheeks go red and her reply was, "Thank you." She said before starting my grilled cheese on the grill that was beside the coffee machine. I headed back to my table and saw Cristina was gone. I sipped my coffee as I felt warm me up. I then broke my oatmeal cookie in two. Then I proceed to dip one half into my coffee before taking a bite.
After a short time Sams comes to me with my grilled cheese and puts it down in front of me. She then placed a few napkins down with one on top that had numbers on it. She gave me a smile and walked away. I took the napkin and smiled as I gave a soft giggle as I read her phone number with a little message on it reading, 'I hope you can give me a call.' I soon smirked softly before I took out my phone and text her, "Well I hope texting it alright, I get nerves when I speak to an beautiful girl like you." I hit send. I looked up to see Sam, she blushed as she looked down at her phone and replied, "Well a sexy woman like yourself must not see her power over a girl like me." She sent me as right after she looked at me.
I read her message before I gave a soft giggle and sent a message to her, "Well if I asked you to meet me in the bathroom, would you?" I hit send as I bite into the grilled cheese. Without a moment to waste Sam texted back, "Yes." I read it and slide my phone into my pocket. I gave her a nod to the bathroom as I got up. I walked to the bathroom, my eyes met hers as I walked by with a smirk on my lips. I got to the bathroom and head into it as I waited for her.
Sam soon came in as she locked the bathroom door. She looked at me with a smirk as I smirked back at her. I moved to her, but Cristina busted out a stall and pined my against the wall with a silver knife. I soon looked at Sam as she draw a knife as well. I soon pushed Cristina off me and back into the stall she came from. I then ran at Sam as she lunged at me with a knife. I slapped her hand away as it came to me as I turned around and pushed her away. I scrambled to undo the lock and run out the bathroom. I got to my car, as the pouring rain showed me. I got into my car as I saw Cristina and Sam soon run out of the coffee. I put my foot down on the gas as I speed off. As I did one throw a knife at my car as it broke my back window. I raced home.
