"I want you to call Johnson's company and tell them that their deals with us is confirms. I've already sent an email to their Managing Director, just double-confirm it and where is the profits and losses report that I've asked Mark to re-do it ?" asked Veronica to her assistants, Maya.
"I already asked him about it but he said ..." said Maya, scared if Veronica scolded her.
"He said what ?" asked Veronica, keeping a straight face for a few moments before continues, "Look, Maya. You've been working with me since the past 4 years so basically you've known me, right ?"
"Yes, Miss Veronica. I'll ask Mark to give you the full reports by the end of the day." ensures Maya before she get up from the chair and walked out from the office after Veronica asked her to do so.
She's fine now. Her health is getting better now after nearly two weeks of rest. Once she feel fine, Veronica never waste a single chances to keep herself busy with her works again. She was busy typing something on her computer when someone entered her office.
"Busy, huh ?"
Veronica titled up her head and looked at the person who entered her office room.
"Miss Veronica, I've tried to stops him but he said you know him." said Maya while displeasedly looking at Alexander.
"It's okay, Maya. I do know him." said Veronica while letting Alexander sits on the chair in front of her desk. Maya nodded her head while walked away from the office room.
"What are you doing, Veronica ? Determining the marketing of a property ?" smiled Alexander.
Veronica didn't deny that Alexander got quite a charming smile that can easily makes any women fall for him but it still annoyed her.
"What do you want ?" asked Veronica.
"Actually, today is my birthday and I've bought you something." said Alexander as he took out a small box of chocolate from his pocket and place it at the table.
"It's your birthday and you've bought me a chocolate ? Isn't all this just too much ?"
"Well, I just feeling to celebrate my birthday with someone special this year so yeah..."
"How did you know that I love chocolate ?"
"Your mother, of course. Look, Veronica. If I want to make you fall for me, obviously I have to put an extra effort because you're not like the rest of the girl that I've known. You're different."
"Alexander, listen. I've told you that I don't want to have any special relationship with you and..."
"I know but who knows what going to happen on the future, right ?" smiled Alexander before continued, "I don't have anyone to celebrate my birthday with so ..." said Alexander while waited for Veronica's reactions but Veronica just keep silent.
Veronica was actually thinking about Kabir. She remembered how Kabir used to celebrate his birthday with Veronica during college time. Veronica smiled when she remembered how Kabir used to feel lonely when she teased him by ignoring his birthday.
"Veronica ?" said Alexander, trying to pull out Veronica from her thought.
"Alex, I'm ...I'm busy right now and please, I don't like to mixed personal and professionals. I hope you understand." said Veronica as she shifted her body facing the computer.
"Sure. I think I should go now and thanks, for making my birthday special this year, Veronica." said Alexander before he stood up and walked out from the office room. His words successfully grabs Veronica's attentions and she keeps looking at Alexander until he is out from her sights. He's different or maybe he's just a charmer. His smiled really pleasant and he's quite a nice guy but one thing that really bothered Veronica is he's close with James.
