Water fell loudly into the lake that sat outside the cave. The lake was strangely clear, you could see the fish clearly; some very large fish reside at the bottom of the lake. Flowers, of a multitude of colors, grew among the two small cliffs that lead to the cave in which the bringer of peace slept within. Deer had walked around the lake sometimes to get a drink, however a ominous feeling hung around the lake and cave. No one had come near the lake due to this feeling. It depressed people that came in contact with the animosity. The animosity that plauged the beautiful scenery was a defense mechanism that came from the sleeping source of peace. Ai sat within the cold, damp cave cross legged. With no effort her eyes opened to view the back of the waterfall that hid her. She looked around curiously for a moment before standing up and stretching for a while. She looked to the right cave wall and saw her spear. She slowly walked over, slightly limping, and picked up her spear. She proceeded to walk over to the cave entrance, there was a mist from the crashing water. She walked around the falling water to avoid getting the cloak wet. She walked down the narrow cliff while staring at the large fish that hung around the bottom of lake. The fish was a dark green with a large body that curved around corals and seaweed at the bottom. It seemed like it made eye contact with Ai before swimming back down into the little opening to a cavern at the bottom of the lake. She noticed that the thick fog that loitered over this lake had now left, showing the true beauty of the landscape. There was a forest that stretched for miles down the large mountain she was on. Akhos mountain had one town on it and it was a hike that would take till night time to make. As she stood there watching the trees slowly sway with the wind, slightly rhythmic, she noticed the large feeling of emptiness within her stomach. She'd been resting for so long she would need cooked food soon or else, she would die. She needed sticks and then to start a fire somehow. She headed down the mountain and collected multiple sticks on her way down and sliced some larger branches down with her lance. Now with a collection of sticks she headed back to the lake. She walked back up and cleared an area for her campfire. Dropping the sticks in a pile it finally hit her, how was she suppose to start a fire without a lighter or magic? She looked around, some stones sat around; maybe one would be flint. She walked over and began to examine the rocks, none of them were flint. She needed another plan for a fire. She looked over at her spear and the unlit campfire. Her eyes locked onto her spear. There was glass within the spears tip for decoration! She ran over and grabbed the lance and then noticed her camp wasn't in the sunlight, hence, she moved it over in the sunlight and then stuck her spear in the surrounding sand so the glass would heat up the wood. After a couple of minutes, she knew the twigs would never light so she treaded back into the forest for some leaves. She ripped a large number of leaves down and laid them on the fire. Smoke rose from the pile of leaves and sticks and formed a shotty campground. The leaves finally caught fire after a bit of sitting and waiting, once the smaller twigs caught fire, she took her spear out of the ground, She clutched the spear tightly in her hand. She walked over to the lake and looked down at the largest king fish in the lake. She held her spear above her shoulder and prepared to throw it at the best, sure she'd have to swim down for the fish and spear, but it was worth it for some food. The fish swam around his little territory before the spear sliced and zoomed through the water and pierced the kings slimy scales. A crimson liquid began to spread over the bottom of the lake. Ai looked down and then dove into the water. She was able to swim all the way down perfectly and nab the spear and the king. She swam back up and onto the beach where she cooked the king over a hot bonfire. Half an hour later and she cut the king up and had a fine lunch for the time being. She stood up now and recollected her drying clothes. She slipped back into them and grabbed her lance, she had cleaned it into the, now clear, lake. She stood up and looked at the sun, about five more hours of sunlight before she would have to set another camp for herself. She looked into the lake one more time and saw her dead, pupilless eyes. She smiled to herself and then began her long walk down the mountain, saying her goodbyes to the lake. She walked down the mountain while calming and cooling breezes blew pass her. Leaves danced in the wind as her hood wallowed in the wind. Her brown hair was of a dirty color and somehow managed to stay in place upon her shoulder. Her spear put little indents into the ground as she walked that now had little ants climbing through them. She noticed as she was walking that there seemed to be small footsteps around the trail she took, the feet belonged to a child maybe. No one had lived too close to the lake in fear of the fogs omen. They'll notice the fogs disappearance and assume that I have awoken. I have one singular purpose. Whatever stands in my way will die to the cruel fate of standing in the way of peace and prosperity.
