Darkness surrounded me while I was running aimlessly. Suddenly my legs hit something making me trip. I was ready to embrace the ground when a pair of arms appeared, preventing my fall.
My eyes locked to the person's hazel-eyes. It took me a minute to recover my senses and steady myself on my feet.
"T-Thank you. I-I..."
(Why are you stuttering Jenna.) After my conscience scolded me I looked up only to find him walking away.
"Wait. At least..." Again I didn't get his name.
BANG-BANG
"Jenna, get-up. We need to leave soon." My elder brother Derek reminded me of today's importance.
I'm Jenna Collins, and I'm 21. That was my hazel-eyed dream. I have been having the same dream since a year. Those piercing eyes makes my heart skip a beat everytime. I think I'm falling for them.
"Good morning Mom, Dad."
"Good morning Jenna." My parents greeted me simultaneously.
Mr. James Collins is the best father and my mom, Mrs. Bella Collins is adorable. Dad owns a restaurant with his partner Mr. Williams, also happens to be my would-be FIL and my MIL is a homemaker. Their only child Jayden is my fiance, whom I'm meeting today. This marriage was our families ideas. Though we met in childhood and according to our parents we innocently claimed one another, I know nothing about him other than the fact that he is a self-made billionaire overseas and 5yrs older to me.
"Hurry up. We are late." Dad scurried everyone to the car.
During the ride, I zoned-out and went back thinking about my dream. I worded my emotions as a note on my phone...
Not a day goes by,
When beaneath the dark sky,
Those piercing, penetrating, deep-dyed,
I long for your hazel-eyes.
The cars came to a screeching halt and brought me out of my reverie. We entered the hall reserved for the family lunch-meeting. But I was dumbfounded at the doorstep when I saw my handsome suit-clad fiance. My eyes got stuck to his piercing hazel-eyes. I was brought back to present by my brother asking me to sit down. Our families introduced us and then we proceeded with lunch.
After the lunch was over, Jayden, like a true gentleman, asked my parents for their permission to take me out, which they happily agreed. He stood up and held out his hand which I took nervously.
We went to the rooftop and he said, "I know we are already introduced but still... I want to do it myself. Hello Jenna, I'm Jayden." He held out his hand and I shook them which earned me a smile on his face and that smile made my heart skip a beat, just like my dream. Deja vu.
After the intro we talked about us and surprisingly it felt as if he was the missing piece of my life. He is the one whom I can say everyday that...
Not a day goes by...
When I don't love your hazel-eyes...
