Richie lay on a bench in Bassey park tossing a ball into the air then catching it.
He had a rough day full of school work and worry. Eddie wasn't at school today, Richie hadn't talked to him much because of school. But he always said hi or made a joke when he saw him.

Richie adjusted his glasses catching the old worn baseball he found under his bed. He sat up and turned his head. He saw the back of a girl. She had short firey red hair. It rested on her shoulders she was looking at a store pushing a strand of hair behind her ear. She wore a white blouse and corduroy pants (which were a brownish purple). "Bev? Beverly Marsh?"

Richie didn't even know he had said what he said once the girl turned. It was for sure,

Beverly Marsh.

"Richie? Richie Tozier?" She said looking at the boy with bottle cap glasses. "Holy shit! Bev!" Richie smile jumping up and wrapping his lanky arms around the shorter girl. He burried his face in her neck as she giggled. "Hey, Rich." She whispered wrapping her arms around his torso. Richie and Bev sat there for a moment before Richie pulled away.

"What are you doing here?"
"I came back, staying with my aunt still she decided to move back." Bev said smiling.
"That's fucking amazing!"
Bev giggled her smile growing wider. "Wheres the other losers?"
"Don't know."
"What?"
"We all separated last time I talked to them was...." He paused counting in his head. "3 months ago? Except for occasional hi's and shit."
"Bull, shit!"

Richie looked up at the girl adjusting his glasses. His lips parted out of confusion. "I know for a damn FACT you and Eddie have talked since then!"  Bev said a fire called 'her hair' looking like it glowed brighter than the sun. Richie became flushed and looked down. "Last time we really spoke was maybe 1 month ago.. Bowers um," He shook his head. Bev looked worried and grabbed his large hand.

"He's still a asshole?"

"Yeah, babes! Always has been!"

"Save the babes for Eddie."

Richie pulled his hand away from Bev. His eye brows furrowing his face beet red. He swallowed the blush dying down with his Adams apple as it descended down. "I'm not a fag. Not anymore." Richie choked out, his throat stinged as he said it. His insides churned and he bit his lip till it bled. It was a lie, he knew it was. But he wouldn't accept it. He never would.

"Bull shit." Bev whispered shaking her head.

"Your fucking infatuated with Eddie. No matter what you tell yourself you love the damn kid." Bev looked up at Richie with those damn blue iris's staring into his soul. Richie bit his lip even harder.

"Beverly, I haven't seen you in years. And you think you know everything about my damn life? Huh? You fucking don't know shit! Shit Beverly! Yeah, I'm Richie Trashmouth Tozier! The guy that never shuts up, the guy that makes jokes and gets his ass beat! The fucker that's gay? The fag? The queer? Huh? Is that what I am to you? What you friend? You don't know SHIT! AND YOU DON'T CARE! So I suggest you keep Eddie's name out of your mouth. Because if I hear you talking about him and me one more damn time. I swear to god, I fucking kill myself! because you have no fucking right to call me gay. To say I'm a fag."

Beverly flinched at his words. Tears stinging her eyes. Richie had the face of stress, worry, and anger. The words sting his throat as he said them. He adjusted his glasses and glared at Bev before turning around.

"You don't know me."

Then he was off. Leaving Beverly alone and confused. She really fucked up.

A/N

I know it's short but I loved this chapter! It shows how worried Richie is. About people finding out his secrets even though Bev knew. And don't get mad at Richie, because damn. I'd be mad to if an old friend came back after years and thought she/he knew everything about me.
