My whole body hurts
not because of
the immense pain
located in my stomach
but the consistent
tug at my heart
My whole head hurts
not because of the
overwhelming pain
in my sinuses
but because
my brain is fighting
me on whethere or not
to give in
My whole arm hurts
not from the pull
of the blade across
my wrist
but because of
the ache of thier
presence and the
constant reminder
of why they're there
