After Duncun left I couldn't do anything without thinking of him. I grew frustrated and decided to go out for a walk. I mean it's late but it's not like there might be any serial killer on this private island.

I locked my room and headed out to heaven knows where. I just needed to clear my head and the room wasn't helping me think properly. What did he mean by he kissed Alessia because he was trying to make jealous. I still don't get it. I mean I don't even like him that way.
“ Are you sure?” my subconscious had to open her mouth again.
“ Yes I'm sure.” I replied to her. Anyone passing by will think I'm crazy and I think I am.
I started walking on the beach barefooted and enjoying the feel of the sand against my flesh when something caught my eye.
Duncun was seating on one of the benches along the beach wearing a tight fitted vest. Doesn't he know there the weather is cold or he is immune to the weather.
I felt my feet taking me to where he was seated on there own accord. Traitors. He noticed me and smiled in my direction.
I froze in my spot. I mean literally froze. He smiled. Duncun gave me an actual smile and not a smirk.
His smile turned into a frown and I realized I've been staring for too long and sat beside him.
“ What are you doing out here?” I questioned. My curiosity reaching it's highest peak.
“ I just couldn't keep pretending anymore so I came out here to clear my head.” he said without looking at me.
“ Keep pretending? Why are you pretending?” I asked. I'm really nosy but it doesn't matter right now.
He turned to look at me and his eyes were filled with sadness and something else. I couldn't really place my hand on it. Then suddenly he leaned in and grazed my lips with his as if asking for permission. I didn't react and just sat shocked but that didn't stop him from leaning in the rest of the way and kissing me fully now.
I couldn't move. I was too surprised to kiss him back but that faded away in a few seconds and quickly responded to his kiss.
He pulled me closer to him by my waist and my hands were having a time of the century running them through his soft black hair that I've been fantasizing about.
We broke apart for air before we both die through kissing. It will a death I will gladly wait for.
“ What...Why...Why did you do...I mean why did you kiss me?” I stammered out.
“ Because I like you and I can't keep pretending that I didn't anymore with you and Owen flirting constantly. It's driving me crazy” he said with absolute sincerity.
I grinned like an idiot when I heard him say that.
“ Is that why you kissed Alessia when you saw Owen and I together?” I asked trying to get the answer I've been wanting since this afternoon.
“ Yes.” he stated with a smile and kissed me again.
“ But what about Alessia?” I asked. If he really likes me it's supposed to be just me and no one else.
“ What about her?” he asked like he has no clue on what I'm talking about. He looked so adorable.
“ I mean if you like me then she can't be in the picture. I mean we are not in a relationship or anything so you can do whatever you want. Just ignore...”
I wasn't allowed to finish my sentence before he leaned in and kissed me.
“ Do you want to be my girlfriend?” he asked while smiling at me. With that smile and him asking so politely I definitely can't say no. I mean I'll be the cruelest person in the world and...
“ Just stop blubbering and answer him you idiot.” my subconscious had to speak again. I never asked her for her opinion. And what is it with people stopping me from completing my sentence.
“ Yes I'll be your girlfriend.” I told him and he kissed me again. Is today my lucky day or what?
“ Well we better head back before we freeze to death. It's cold out here.”
“ I actually thought you were immune to the cold weather.”
“ And why is that?” he asked somewhat confused.
“ Have you seen what you're wearing?” I questioned and this gained a laugh from him.
“ Come on, let's go before you become more whiter than you are at the moment.”
I fake gasped and smacked him on the head and we headed towards our cabin.
We reached my room sooner than I wanted but we both had to call it a night.
“ Goodnight Mel.” he said and kissed me. A long passionate kiss before walking off to the room he shares with Alessia.
I couldn't stop smiling. I mean I'm Duncun William McCarthy's girlfriend.
