Chapter 1 (Carrie's P.O.V)

I can't believe this...This is all my fault.My mother is dead.Because of my stupid powers.Because of me...They thought I was dead so they buried me six feet under.But someway,somehow,I'm not dead.Anger filled me.I felt it in my veins and let it boil my blood.I kept hitting the wooden coffin,trying to break free.I stopped for a second and I closed my eyes and took deep breaths,trying to trigger my powers.I opened my eyes wide and I pushed my hands with all of my strength and all of my might.The next thing I knew the wooden coffin door was sent flying toward the sky,along with the dirt,grass,and leaves.I climbed out of the hole,and I noticed that it was dark out.I breathed the warm air and felt the rain on my face and on my body.It feels good to be on the surface again.I stretched and cracked my back and fingers.It felt like forever to be underground.The first few step I took felt good.I don't even know where I'm going,I just had to get out of here and not let anyone see me.At least not like this,I just noticed I was still in my blue night gown.I quickly walked over to the nearest house and saw an old man hanging his laundry and hid behind the white painted fence.I couldn't shake the feeling like I was being followed.I looked behind me and no one was there.It maybe weird wearing some old guy's clothes,but it would do for now.When he walked back inside,I quickly went for it and grabbed a T-shirt,ripped jeans,and a jacket.I ran out and changed behind the bushes.They fit pretty okay.Now I just need something sharp.Just then,a knife dropped right in front of me.I looked up to the trees and no one was there.Weird...I grabbed it and I looked at it closely.It had the initials "J.W" on it.It may come in handy.I grabbed my hair and cut it off.Some of my hair fell to my left eye and I put my hood up.I walked out of the bushes and started walking to who knows where.I just need a place to sleep for the night.I will make things better mother,I promise...
