Chapter 8 | Plus Ultra

Just about the whole faculty from U.A. showed up to help disburse of the remaining villains. All the students were ushered outside the building while the law enforcement tried to piece together what had happened. All Might was nowhere to be found, Aizawa and Izuku were both injured and was taken to recovery girl.

Once peace had spread, the students started talking among themselves about what had transpired. Filling each other in on who had been teleported where and how they got out. "Todoroki was crazy strong" the invisible girl exclaimed. He had apparently been all alone in the landslide zone and single handedly taken down all villains there. No surprise there but you're happy he is okay.

Ojiro too had been on his own and had to do a lot of hit and runs to outmaneuver his opponents. Midoriya, Mineta and Asui were trapped on a boat and ended up making a huge malstrom to get out of there. Minetas quirk being a form of sticky balls were perfect for immobilizing the villains trapped in the water.

Tokoyami and Kouda had teamed up in the storm zone and most of the rest had been stuck at the entrance with thirteen left wondering what happened to everyone else. In the end it as Iida who made it out to call for help. Aoyama and Hagakures locations remained unknown.

"The blankets I made during our Battle Rival turned out to be really great for this too!" Momo said as you were waiting for the bus to pull up and take you all back to the school. Realizing what she said you look at Denki whose eyes were still glazed.

"Poor boy" you laughed.

"He did quite well actually." Jiro was there too now. "He's a bit of a moron but he did good." she smiled shyly.

The bus is here now and Kirishima pulled on your arm before you when it. "Nice job back there! You're definitely not only flicking pebbles.Those gauntlets where awesome y/n!" It meant more than he knew. The compliment was heartfelt and true. It made you like the guy even more. He was easy to be around and now you had something to bond over.

You gave him a light punch on the shoulder "Thanks Mr. Unbreakable! If you couldn't tell they are inspired by you." He beamed at you with rosy cheeks. Flattering this guy was way too easy. You hope he doesn't put too much into it.

"Get your asses on the bus dweeps. I wanna get out of here" Bakugou snarled as he went on board the vehicle. He didn't say it but his opinion on the both of you was shifting. You both followed him.

Eijiro went to sit by Katsuki seemingly to try and rub shoulders with his newfound manly friend. Todoroko kept your old seat for you and you went to sit with him behind your two battle brothers.

The red haired boy was still high from the battle and tried to make conversation with the explosive porcupine.With little to no success but that didn't seem to bring down his spirits. Bakugou grunted and snarled but didn't really yell at him all ride. He might just have found a friend he didn't entirely hate.

Is he growing soft?

"Are you okay?" Todo inquired no emotion obvious in his tone while looking at the arm where the gauntlets had bruised you. You saw the concern in his eyes.

"Yeah, I'm fine. I'll probably be sore tomorrow but nothing I cannot handle." he put his hand on your right arm. You felt a slight cold spread as Shoto tended to you inflammation and swelling. He always did this when you got hurt. Using your bruises to be near you was a cheap move but it was all he could do. He hated seeing you in pain.

"Stop fussing Todo. It's okay" you said smiling as he reached out for your other arm. You don't really need the healing and he knows but you let him do it anyway. He looks like he needs to do something good.

Just like old times. Always taking care of me when I get hurt.

As you look up you catch Bakugous eyes looking back at you between the seats. His gaze immediately averts making you doubt if what you saw was really true. That half and half bastard is so close to you. You didn't need his help so why are you letting him treat you like that. He had seen you on the battlefield and you had proved him wrong. You don't need to be handled with care. Maybe you are just an attention seeking newbie. He pushes the thoughts away even though the tangy feeling he got as the icyhot was stroking your skin lingered.
