After my cheek was healed, my aunt let me go outside and hang out with Richie at the arcade, I got on my bike and giggled as I kicked the stand up and raced off atraight away.
__
I walked into the movie theatre and saw Richie playing streetfighter, "hey! You're playing it without me!" Richie looked over and grinned at me as I ran over, He pulled me in a side hug as he bashed the keys with his fingers.
"You were taking too long!" Richie argues as he won the game, "hey sugar, you're lookin' good, I'm gonna whoop your fine ass in streetfighter." I rose my eyebrows at him.
"I'll kick your ass, nerd." I put the coin into the token machine and got 10 in return, I put them into my pocket and we grin at each other before putting in one token each and started playing streetfighter like it was life or death.
__
I told Richie after three hours of playing the arcade games that we should have some lunch, which he agreed to so we were walking down the street towards the diner. I saw Belch's car drive past and we stared as Bowers slowed the car down and stared daggers into us as they sped up and took off.
"Well, we're dead." I joked and we both nervously laughed, "Not as dead as we would be from Eddie's mom if she knew we were going to sneak him out after his bedtime to go to the movies." I told him and we both grin.
__
"Your hair is lighter and longer, it's weird," Richie said as I fixed my glasses and ate one of my chips, "That scar on your face looks epic by the way." I touched my cheek and sigh as my hair covered it.
"It's disgusting, not epic...but thank you, my aunt said I could get my hair done today if I wanted too...if you wanted to do your training while I fixed my hair up you can." Richie rose an eyebrow at me and took off his glasses, he motioned me to hand him mine so I did. "I'll get contacts I promise," I chuckled as he cleaned our glasses with his shirt and then handed mine back to me.
"I like your glasses," Richie stated as he put his own on.
"oh, so you're stealing them, right, gotcha." We both chuckle slightly as we looked out the window at the same time as we heard a car revving.
"Bowers." We both whispered, Richie grabbed our bag of food and pointed to the side door, I nodded and we raced out of the diner to back to the arcade.
__
"Get back here four-eyes!" Henry shouts as we heard the car screech before racing down the street, it was a car chase.
"fuck you bowers!" I shout as I shoved Richie into a small alleyway, "keep running moron before he gets out of the car and chase us!" Richie ran for it and so did I. I saw the dumpster and I groaned as Richie stopped, I climbed up and held my hand out for him, "Take my hand!"
"No!" Richie shouted, "I don't want to hold your hand!" I just rolled my eyes at him.
"I'm not asking you to marry me, I'm asking you to take my hand, idiot." Richie grasped on to my hand and I yanked him up and we climbed over the fence before taking off again.
__"Twizzler! Let's go! You're not dying today young lady! We have streetfighter to play." I turned around as Richie called me from the other side of the street, we were back in the public eye, I crossed the street in a slight jog and we both went back inside to play on Streetfighter.
__
I sat in the hair salon as I waited for the hairdresser to serve me, I looked outside and smiled slightly since I could see Richie playing on one of the pinball machines, "Mavis?" I looked at the woman and smiled before getting up.
