Her eyes fluttered open, thick wet lashes gently brushing against her skin, as she shot up. She panted softly, trying her hardest to fight the tears. Today, she would not cry. She would not allow herself to cry. But every time she fought them, it seemed to get harder. Her shaky hands reached up and wiped at the tears, crawling back into the comfort of her blankets, pulling her Maltese, Lily, close to her. The small white dog opened its sleeping eyes and looked up at October, licking her chin as if sensing her sadness. A ghost of a smile found its way to her lips, but it wasn't enough. She closed her eyes once more, remembering that uneventful day, when everything came crashing down.

"Please don't do it," he pleaded, pouting playfully. October laughed softly as she pulled from the hug to look up at her newly wed husband. She was met with a playful glare before Joe Jonas covered his eyes. "You know I can't resist those eyebrows..." He whispered. Beside him, her brother, November, laughed.
"Joe, you're so weird." This caused Joe to drop his hands and look over at the younger male.
"Hey, you're hating because Cici doesn't have eyebrows like your sister's. So put that in your milkshake and suck it." It grew quiet for a moment as the words sank in before all three erupted in laughter as they walked down the streets of California.
"Right..." Was all November replied with, shaking his head with a grin. Joe grinned victoriously as he turned to look at October, who had been paying attention to him. She waited for him to turn to look at her, and when he did, she unleashed her ultimate weapon: the wiggling of her eyebrows. She never understood why it made Joe react the way he did, but she enjoyed seeing his reaction.
"Oh no... You planned t-this..!" Joe's knees began to shake as he slowed his walking, placing a hand over his heart. "Growing... Weaker... Can't... Resist.." The two siblings chuckled softly as Joe walked over to October, making strange faces. They ignored the small laughs and stares they were receiving from the people walking the streets. Joe wrapped his arms around October's waist and lifted her up, twirling her about. "I just can't keep my hands off of you when you use those bad boys against me," he whispered to her, placing her securely back on the ground. She grinned up at him, shrugging lightly.
"It's not my fault you can't control yourself. Not that I'm complaining," she retorted, her grin growing. Joe leaned down, pressing his lips to hers in a passionate kiss. October snaked her arms around his neck and kissed him back, pulling him closer to her.
"...Get a room!" November whispered in the background with a grin. Joe reluctantly parted their lips to look up at the boy, grinning.
"We might. And we'll leave you here to bake in the sun." October playfully hit Joe's chest and the Jonas laughed softly. "I was kidding.. About leaving him in the sun."
"Joe Jonas!" A voice he had never heard before shouted. He turned his gaze from October to see a woman, who seemed to be in her late twenties, with dark eyes and dark, stringy hair framing her face. She looked a little nervous, continuously biting her lower lip and eyes darting around. Releasing October and ushering her to her brother, he stepped forward, cautious.
"Yes?" He replied. The woman's beady eyes stared at him before flickering over to October, a scowl forming.
"I want you to divorce her," she finally answered, her voice solid. Joe's lips twitched into a small smile, shaking his head.
"W-what..? You're joking, right? I just married her, the girl of my dreams. There's no way I'm gonna-"
"Do it or I'll shoot her!" And almost instantly, the woman had pulled out a gun from her purse. Joe grew pale white and he threw his hands up and people gasped, screaming and running away.
